2004 Mazda Miata LS
2004 Mazda MX-5 Miata LS Description
I'm selling this for my son because he's busy with work and I'm retired... He's nearby and easy to contact. He's the third owner and loves the car. However, he recently got married and bought a condo - so is VERY reluctantly selling his "toy" to help with finances.
The car has 157,000 miles and runs very strong (I've driven it) and is rock-solid reliable. It handles superbly and has a great 5 speed manual gearbox. 30 mpg average. Robins convertible top was bought new and installed less than 2 years ago. It's high-quality and includes a defroster and glass window. The timing belt and water pump were replaced at 130,000 miles. Hard Dog roll bar was just installed a few months ago for peace-of-mind. High-performance all season tires have lots of tread. Other than these items, car is stock. Bluetooth audio is installed.
The black cherry paint has some minor chipping on the rear-view mirrors and on the hood there are numerous very small "pin prick" chips of unknown origin. One or two of the wheels have a little rust and, as a result, some paint bubbling. The interior is in very nice shape overall... however, there is a cut and a tear in the seam of the driver's seat (see photo) and a straight cut about 2" long in the driver's side door panel. The rest of the interior is very nice. The buyer may want to replace or repair the driver's seat. However, functionally it's fine.
The car has no mechanical issues of any kind. I've purchased the clean Carfax report and am glad to share that with a prospective buyer. Title is in hand. If you'd like to have a mechanic check the car out, I'd be glad to work with you on that.
I will ONLY sell to a buyer I can deal with in person. When I sell my cars privately, I offer a very fair price right from the start - this car was originally posted at $4875, but I've lowered the price and am open to reasonable negotiation if it does not sell quickly.
