2001 Mazda MX-5 Miata Description

Folks, this beautiful Miata was handed down to me from my Dad. It's always been in the Family since bought new in 2002. I'm 68 years young now so maybe time to let someone else enjoy. I have always believed that the owner of a car is often as important as the car itself.
We are located in Oklahoma City Metro Area. Rare is often used too much today regarding nice cars. Rare actually best describes this Miata.
What makesthis a rare car? Yes a lot of Miata's have been built and are still on the road today. Rare because of production numbers? No. Rare because of unique styling during the 2001-2005 model years? No. Rare because of theoriginal paint, original mechanical condition? No. In my opinion this Miata is rare because of the care the original owner, my Father. Anyone who was an Air Force Sabre Jet Engine Mechanic in the Korean War knows howimportant preventativemaintenance can be to any valuable machine. Dad was careful and always took care of his vehicles. It's rare in today's busy hustle and bustle world for a person to actually take care of a fine driving machine. Kind of corny but my opinion. Are you looking for asolid Miata? This is the Miata.
I am not a dealership or a person that sells a lot of cars on Ebay. I am a private individual with a car that his Father owned. Ihave alwaysbelieved that "actual owner" cars are the safest investment. The motor bay area is original, as everything else on this Miata, with the exception of the Enkei 15" Custom Wheels. I will uploadadditional photos by the end of the coming week, (March 6-10th) if weather permits and I'm able to get around to do so the interior and engine bay area pic's. Nice and clean.
I had the vehicle appraised at two trusted Oklahoma Major Car dealers.
I was told this is an exceptional car. I knew that because my Dad was an exceptional guy.
This Miata is clean original and nice. Lots of years and miles left in this incredible driving car.Yes an original 2001 Miata 59,737 miles,

My long winded point is that it's a rare find. The Dealer called it a rare find.
Dad loved his sports cars. Always had a fun car. This is a fun car. I had never intended to sell this Miata. I felt a connection with Dad when I would drive it. Only driven on nice days. Always garaged. It's time to move on and find a good home for this great car. The purpose in selling now... is to set up a wood shop at home... I can't always drive the car because of weather....but I can work with tools and remember Dad through a hobby we had together so many years ago....The interior has not been detailed yet. The paint is original. No accidents and no mechanical problems ever.

Dad loved changing his own oil. Dad served the US Air Force as a Veteran of the Korean War. He flew the American Flag everyday and put an American Eagle on the Miata's back window. Oh yes it Can be removed no problem. It's glass.
This is a sweet ride. Quiet, smooth.....responsive and really handles well.

These ENKEI wheels are only 9 1/2 lbs. per wheel cuts half weight off of regular wheels. This saves gas. Theoriginal wheels are not available.

Yokohama High Performance tires like new.Purchased at Discount Tires in Moore Oklahoma. Tire warranty good allover the USA.
At an additional cost.
In an effort to protect the original paint I invested in an expensive (about $285.00) Custom Fitted COVER that is soft and vented. Really a nice cover.
