ENJOY LIFE!! DRIVE A CLASSIC MERCEDES CONVERTIBLE!! Up for NO RESERVE AUCTION is this very beautiful factory red 1985 Mercedes 380 SL. Lovingly cared for and always garaged, it’s in great condition. The paint looks good, the body is very straight and shiny, the only scratches are a couple from taking the hard top off. Five new tires and very expensive Dayton chrome wire wheels about a year and 8K miles ago. If you have ever owned or driven one of these fine automobiles, you know how wonderful they are. Just running around town is fun, and a top-down ride on a beautiful day is pure pleasure! I have driven SL’s for over 36 years, I can tell you this is an extremely nice car. Hard top and Hartz soft top.The soft top is in good condition, a couple small holes in the side windows.The interior is very nice, the driver's seat is worn but has lots of padding, and I have just installed a brand new set of genuine sheepskin seat covers. The original Becker stereo is still intact but doesn't seem to be working. If you have ever wanted an SL of this vintage but don’t want to nurse a worn-out car then this is the car for you! 249K miles are nothing to a good well-cared-for Mercedes, (That's only 8K miles a year) I have seen them with 800K on them still running fine. It's all about the care they receive. 380 SL’s are my favorite because they are powerful and smooth but will get up to 25 mpg, and '85 is the last year for this classic model. Not a 100 point show car, but a car you will be proud to drive and own. What could be better than a red SL! Drive this beauty for the price of a used Camry.
