2003 Mercedes-Benz S-Class S55 Description

Up for sale is this 2003 Mercedes S55. The car needs some TLC(not too much at all mostly time) to bring it back to it's full glory. Some TLC and you will have a super clean powerful car, car is about 85% there. So 15% more to go and you have a fantastic ride. Car is a used 13 year old car, has a coupe small blemishes what would be expected for it's age. Car runs great, ABC does not drop even after two weeks of sitting.
Car has many new parts and is fully loaded. Lowest priced on eBay, my loss your gain. These are generally listed for $10,000 to $15,000 looking for a quick sale hence the low price for a well cared for car.
The engine has been replaced with one that only has 3000 Kilometres/1864 miles on it(this is according to the person which sold it to me)
Here is the list of new parts
Heads bought used and serviced with new valve seals
Head gaskets
Head bolts
Rocker arm bridge bolts
Crankshaft bolt
Double idler pulley bullet aluminum
New drive belts
New motor mounts
New plugs
New exhaust gaskets
New intake gaskets
New front crankshaft seal
Valve cover gaskets
New exhaust manifold nuts, exhaust flange bolts
All seals for ABC/steering
All other seals required to reassemble the engine
Heater hose from back of left head to firewall
All seals, motor mounts, bolts listed above are OEM everything but the idler pulley
The car runs very nice, smooth idle, feels very strong, runs at regular operating temperature, idles nice at the traffic lights, sounds great and seems to want to go. The car has 120 kilometres on it since the engine swap. The car has been out on the highway but has not been driven hard, RPM has been kept at under 2500 RPM without staying at any given RPM for too long. The car was brought up to 3000 RPM once. For the first 60 kilometres it was about 40-60 KPH max. On the highway I did run it up to about 140KPH once only for a very short period of time.
The car needs a couple little things to finish it up, a couple hoses routed properly, lower engine covers installed, front engine cover installed and air ducting for the air-cleaners.
Cars come with fresh fully synthetic Mobile 0W40 and new oil filter from the dealer. I have a sample of the break in oil and kept the filter from the break in period.
Rims need to be refinished and front bumper has a couple issues, body is in decent shape for being a 13 year old car. My total guess on time to bring back would be less then a weekend at a non rushed pace. Figure a hour to install engine covers, route hoses(they are all in the proper position just need to be affixed to location mounts there is no risk off damage from hitting anything), install air ducts, front engine cover and any misc things. Then the interior cleaned up, repaint the rims, wax the car and that would be it. The paint looks decent a waxing would make it look nice a buffing would make it look amazing.
Here are the options in the car
DTS
Keyless Go
Dynamic seats front
Reclining rear seats
Heated/cooled seats all around
Rear door window sun blinds
Rear window sun blind
Easy enter/exit
Supercharged
CD changer in trunk
One touch windows
Soft close doors
Power open/close trunk
Tint windows
Plus all other options standard on the S-Class
The car runs very well, shifts smooth, has pretty much new tires on it, AC blows cold, heat works, all lights work so the car could be driven. It comes down to whether the new owner would like to drive a car with serviced heads and a low kilometre engine(according to seller of engine and picture on block with it listed as 3000km) on a long haul. All invoices of parts bought can be supplied in photocopy format if wanted by the new owner.
Ask all/any questions before bidding, car is sold as is where is, cannot guaranty the bottom end of the engine has 3000km on it put pictures of the internal/external would suggest it is a very low mileage engine, any one with less the 20 positive feedback or any negative feedback your bid will be canceled if not making prior contact with me. buyer is responsible for all shipping, transportation, import charges
Moving this is the only reason I am selling the car.
Try your offer you might be pleasantly surprised. Really want to see this car go to someone that will bring it back to its glory. This is a good car and will miss it, if I was not moving(no garage) I would keep it. Also if I had the time before I moved I would spend the few hours on it to finish it 100%, have it detailed and listed it for much more. This is a great opportunity to buy a true AMG 55 car for a lot less then market price only needing a few hours of time(with no cash out lay) to bring it back to a super car.
