1997 Dark Purple 2 Door Sedan with a V-12 Engine and built in wine cooler
1997 Mercedes-Benz CL-Class 2 Door Sedan (seats 4) Description
The body of the car is in the condition you might expect from a vehicle its age. There are dings on the car but aside from the front bumper the dings are minor. The paint hasfadedoff the front of the roof but everywhere else it is fine. The car is dirty inside and out. Right now the car only starts when jumped. Once its started its engine has no problems running. The V-12 engine sounds really good. Besides the 12cylinderengine the other unique feature is the wine cooler between the rear seats. Thediscrete wine cooler has 2 compartments, one for glasses, hand towels, openeretc., and the other compartment has room for 2 wine bottles to chill (note the cooling fan in the trunk picture). There is some tread remaining on the tires, but I would guess they are more then half of the useful tread has worn away. This car is owned by a non-smoker and does not have a smoke smell, there is a hint of a moth ball smell. In front of the driver seat is a fire extinguisher bracket; no fireextinguisheris included with the car. The parts shown in the truck are included. The car manual is in the passenger side glove box, and the glove box latch is sticking. There is a 2nd glove box in the center of the dash. A toggle switch in the centerconsolebetween the front seats is broken and a plastic cover from the overhead console does not stay in place. The sun roof is metal, not glass.

Q - Do you have any idea where the Mercedes was imported from? I saw the sticker on the door and do you think It could make an 80-100 mile trip back?A -I was told Kazakhstan.Yes, I think it would have no problem going a 100 miles. However, if you turned it off it might need a jump to start. I believe it is in good running condition. My description is somewhat negative in an effort to point out flaws to be fair to prospective bidders. But that should not take away from that it drives, sounds, and feels like a good car.
Q - Does the Benz has any rust at all?A - You can't see it standing and looking but at the driver side rear wheel well; roll fingers along the curve in the metal and you can feel the rust bubbling up. The view of the picture is looking upwards. The other wheel wells are fine.
Q -Do all options work? Everything I have tried: power seats, power cushions, windows, sun roof, power windows. To be honest, I don't know what some of the toggles/controls control. If you have specifics I will try to get answers.
