This car started out as a 2006 SLK 55hardtop convertible before it went through a complete and total transformation.Only 1297 were ever built, and only 611 were ever imported to the US. The car has been appraised by two different shops at a value of $125,000.This is the only one like it in the entire world.
You can find videos of the car if you go to Youtube and type in "AMG SLK55 Corbin Thomas"There is a short one done by JP Photography, and an interview I did with StreetCulture.US(fast forward to 16:55 to skip the talk and hear the car) I tried to post a link, but Ebay wont allow clickable links in a description.
The body:-The car was painted less than two months ago.
-The front has been updated to a 2015 Mercedes.-The fenders are completely custom and are 4 inches wider than Factory. They have been blended into the body seamlessly.-The hood has functional heat release vents patterned after the SLR and a functional scoop in the front that passes air over the supercharger and out the hood vents. The hood and heat release vents are metal.-The wheels are AMG split 5 spoke and are 10.5 inches wide in the rear, and 9.5 inches wide in the front.-It has Nitto NT555 Tires.-The wing is a swan Mount style Wing like in the DTM racing series. It's not mounted to the trunk, but rather goes through the deck lid and attaches to a plate that sits on top of the frame. This way you can pull 4 pins and remove it to lower the top. It is real carbon fiber.-It has a custom rear diffuser-sideskirt extensions-Front lip-New headlights
-The drivetrain:-Every single bit of the drivetrain work done to this car was performed by the AMG certified technician Nick @ Eurotech in Indian Trail NC. All of the work was photo documented. I have all the paperwork and receipts for every single thing done to this car.-M113 5.4 liter AMG V-8-Powdercoated valve covers-Kleemann fluid cooled supercharger-Kleemann heat exchanger and 900cfm external water pump-Kleemann headers-Cams-Throttle body- Kleemann tuned ECU-External fuel system-Oiling system-The headers were cut to add a 3" collector and V-band clamp attached to a full t-304 stainless steel exhaust system with an X-pipe and 4" resonators (no cats or mufflers) It was built by BoostFab here in Charlotte NC-The transmission is a 7G-Tronic that was also tuned by Kleemann-Paddle shifters from an E63
The Charity:In the title I said it was a tax write off. I started a charity called Anonymous Angel. It is a 501c3 federally tax-exempt NC charitable organization.100% of the money raised by this car will go to fund this charity. Nobody personally benefits from these funds. The money will be used to build a website and promote the charity. There is a board of directors in charge of the money and nobody gets paid a salary at all.Anonymous Angel is a charitable crowdfunding site with accountability. We have all heard of GoFundMe and are familiar with how it works. The only problem is that you don't know if the cause is real, and you don't know if they really spent the money on what they said they would. Less than 10% of causes crowdfunded as a whole are charitable! We have partnered with dozens of local area Christian churches, Veterans Societies, Food pantries, and other trusted outreach missions who work with people. These trusted partners vet out the causes and send them to us so we know they are real. Instead of a picture, the individual post a short video to describe what they need. This way you can hear the inflection in their voice and see the look in their eyes. Once the cause has been fulfilled we pay for the need directly instead of giving them the money. For example, the Indian Trail veterans Society sends us a veteran they have known for years who needs a knee replacement. He makes a short video explaining what he needs. When his campaign has raised all of the money he asked for Anonymous Angel pays the hospital directly for his knee replacement. The hospital emails him and says "an Anonymous Angel has paid for your knee replacement." This way people will give from the heart and not for recognition. After he gets the knee replacement he makes a thank you video (which he agreed to do when he signed up) and we send that back to everyone who gave him money. So you get to see where your money went when you donated it. There will be a link on the website called the "transparency" link you can click to see in real-time how much money Anonymous Angel has in the bank, and where it came from, and the monthly expenditures, and how much... (if any) anybody gets paid to work for Anonymous Angel. It is all about accountability. We are going to set a precedence in the non-profit world that every non-profit will have to follow that they should account for every single penny of money the charity has, where it came from, and how they are using it. We are not a bunch of rich politicians who use other peoples money for our own personal gain. Anonymous Angel keeps 3.9% of all funds generated for operational cost. I'm just trying to do something good and help people. My car is literally the only thing I have to my name. I don't have a lot of money to fund this project so I am going to sell everything I own that is worth anything to raise the money I need. So that is why I am asking for a six figure gift to my charity and I will give you my car. If you know someone who would be interested in making this gift to my charity I will give you $5000 for telling them about this deal. The $5000 is not the charity's money. It is mine. I know that will get the word out there enough to make this happen. That is why I am willing to offer this deal.I am willing to ship this car anywhere in the world.
