Model Overview

The GL-Class came to be in 2007 in the form of the GL450, and was based on the decades-old squared-off G-Class SUV. The GL retains much of the off-road capabilities of the military-style G-wagon, but adds third-row seating, more creature comforts, and 500 more pounds of towing capability (7500 lbs). The GL-Class has grown from one model to three, including an ultra-luxury edition and a low-emissions diesel.The GL450 has a 4.6L V8 making 335 hp and 339 lb-ft of torque.It hasa 7-speed automatic transmission, full-time 4-wheel drive, electronic brake assist, adaptive variable suspension, stability control, traction control, tire pressure monitoring and automatic load leveling. Many of the features that are standard on the GL550 are options on the two other variants, such as leather seats, auto-dimming rearview mirror, navigation system and electronic parking aid. All GLs have airbags all around, the PRE-SAFE system, keyless entry, alarm system and vehicle theft tracking. The GL350 and GL450 both have a standard8-speaker CD/MP3 stereo, birdseye maple trim, and halogen headlights. The GL550 upgrades these to standard harman/kardon 11-speaker CD/MP3 stereo with SIRIUS satellite radio, burl walnut trim and adaptive bi-xenon lights. Premium packages, available on the GL350 and GL450 bring popular options to the lower trims. The Premium packages, for example, add an auto-dimming mirror, COMAND navigation system, a stereo with hard disk drive, power-folding mirrors, a power-liftgate and SIRIUS satellite radio. A rear-seat DVD entertainment system is an option for all three GLs. Active ventilated front seats are available as is birch trim instead of walnut, and premium Nappa leather upholstery.

This 2009 Mercedes-Benz GL450 is the epitome of the ultimate Sport Utility Vehicle (SUV). It has great looks and amazing performance. It is no wonder it has won SUV of the Year by several magazines and websites since its introduction in 2007. The 4-Matic AWD system is perfect for all seasons and road conditions, and keeps your family safe and secure no matter the weather. This particular GL comes with 2 sets of wheels/tires, one for the winter and one for the summer (see details below). It has served our family well, hasbeen extremely reliable,and is now just looking for a new home.

Adult owned and serviced at the same dealership since new, this GL450 is finished with a black exterior and interior and is in excellent condition! All miles are highway (I put about 20k miles on the vehicle each year). The air conditioning blows ice cold, and the full airmatic suspensionsystem (prone to fail on these vehicles) was replaced within the last 2k miles ($3000 invoice!).

The interior and exterior of this vehicleare in great shape! There is virtually no wear on the seats, and the paint has no swirls and still shines like new (see pictures).

New, they cost over $4000 and they are still in great shape and roll perfectly straight and true (with no vibration).Very few companies make aftermarket wheels that fit properly on this vehicle, but these wheels are absolutely perfect.
Yokohama Parada 22” tires – For this wheel and tire package (new $1000), these tires have a proven track record. Considered bymany tobe the best all-around tire (although not the cheapest) for this particular setup.All tires have over 90% tread remaining, and there is NO uneven wear on any tire due to proper fitment, alignment and corner balancing.
