2004 Mercedes-Benz CL-Class Description

Up for bids is my very rare 2004 Mercedes CL600 v12. With just a little over 96,000 miles, this car has been my baby. I have really enjoyed owning this car. It's been pretty reliable and as such it's been my daily driver for about two years (except in the winters when I kept it garaged). The car has been well maintained. I installed a new battery last year and have just installed brand new wipers. The air blows cold and the heat is hot. The tires have about 15K miles on them.
The car has just about every single feature available for the year. I've upgraded the telephone system to add Bluetooth (picture shown). I also have satellite radio installed (subscription required). It has heated and ventilated seats. All of the electronics work. The interior is in fairly good shape, as you might expect for a car that is going on 17 years old.
With all of that being said, this car is at 96,000 miles. It is going on 17 years old. It's also highperformanceluxurycar. So it will soon be needing some normal maintenance for this car. First of all, there are 24 spark plugs. They will all need to be replaced. The valve cover gaskets are weeping a little oil. Not a lot, but they arenoticeablywet. I've been told by my indy shop it's pretty normal to replace these when doing a spark plug change. The ABC pump is the original pump. The ABC system gets a bad name, but that's only because people don't maintain them. I've had the system flushed twice, once when I had all the accumulators replaced and then again when I had several hoses replaced. I've changed the ABC and power steering filters regularly with oil changes. I've never had any problems with the ABC system on this car and did both those hoses and accumulators as preventative. I've had the coolant flush and refilled with the new MB coolant (blue in color). All of the ball joints, and control arm bushing have been replaced within the past 20K miles. The brake system has been flushed. The rotors and pads were replaced about 30K ago and I used R1 concepts pads and rotors. The transmission mount was just replaced 5K ago along with a transmission flush and reardifferentialfluid change. The motor mounts are still in great shape. This car DOES have the updated design on the motor mounts so someone replaced them at some point.
There is also the infamous left side fender crack (see picture). This was a common issue since the panels were not made of metal (if you google for it you'll find threads about it on mbworld). I bought the car with the crack, but wanted to make sure it did not spread so I added a bit of body epoxy. It's just a little bit larger than a nickle. There are very few scratches. I actually just did a hand wax and polish and they are not even noticeable now.
Everything else is in great shape. The car drives like a bat out of hell frankly. As I said the car has been driven in the spring, summer, and fall but in the winter I put it up. The previous owner lived in Florida, so there is no rust on anything. I recently drove the car about 600 miles on a business trip so I know it's still reliable. I know I've put a lot of detail here but I want to be completely upfront about every possible item. I am selling the car with no reserve because I really just want something newer and I figure I can get more this way than what I could get for trade.
