1991 W124 300D DIESEL SEDAN. PLEASE SEE BELOW FOR MORE DETAILS
ENGINE/TRANSMISSION/DRIVETRAIN: The original OM602 2.5 5 cylinder engine failed way too early for reasons unknown. The vehicle now has a OM603 3.0 I-6 swap from a 300SDL. Swap was done correct & by a professional Mercedes repair shop. Swap has been in for awhile now & Engine operates beautifully with NO issues. Vehicle does not overheat & no excess smoke. Has updated injectors, engine mounts, vacuum pump, radiator, water pump & fan clutch. Transmission is newer from a 1995 300D which operates as it should through all gears. Speedometer is true & accurate as well. Very solid drivetrain with NO issues. Obviously well maintained with proper fluid services. Recent repairs include heavy duty differential bushings, flex disc, differential fluid replacement, injector soft lines & all filter replacements.
SUSPENSION/TIRES/BRAKES: Very solid all around with newer suspension, tires & brakes all around. The car handles great for its age. Recent service to power steering filter, fluid & rubber lines to gear box.
EXTERIOR BODY/UNDERCARRIAGE: The body is in good condition for its age. There is NO rust & the paint still shines good. There is however, normal wear & tear to be expected such as minor scratches, scuffs and dents. The car has the W124 "Facelift" headlamps, headlamp wipers and hood. The Hood & Passenger fender have been repainted due to fading but NEVER in any accidents. Car also has post 1994 W124 Tail lamps. Please review photos carefully.
The undercarriage is rust free as well!
INTERIOR: The interior is very clean & in very good condition for its age. All seats are still firm with minimal wear. The rear vacuum operated headrests are operational as well. Dash panel is also crack free. Wood grain is showing its age but still presentable. One cosmetic issue this vehicle has is a sagging headliner- common on most W124 models.
ELECTRONICS/AUDIO SYSTEM: All electrical items are functional & operate as they should. Sunroof works in all modes (Fully open/close & tilt) Audio system has been updated with newer speakers, Hand free calling, Bluetooth, CD player and High Def radio. I do have the original Becker radio which will come with the sale if you choose to revert back to stock. Also replaced the mono wiper assembly
CLIMATE CONTROL: ALL aspects of the climate control are functional as they should. Great heat & excellent Air Conditioner operation. Blower motor has been replaced as well as vacuum switch over valve behind glove compartment.
