1995 Mercedes-Benz S-Class REAR RECLINING SEAT OPTION Description

This is, bar none, the nicest vehicle I have EVER owned... It's been written about on a few websites because of the unusually RARE Rear Bucket Seat Option which sets it apart from the less than 400 S600's that were built in 1995. And it's one of very few with the seating option and with this low mileage...

Folks had commented on websites, like Jalopnik & BringATrailer.com on the rarity & desirability with the light & slightly darker Champagne color combo, yet some mentioned that the vehicle was used in a Limo Business due to a website it was on... It was NOT used as a Limo..., it was a Private special use vehicle with aspirations of being included in a Private Limo Business "fleet", down the road....

I had created our SweetChariotsLimos.com site to privately promote the use of this car, for special private events yet the "business" part of the "idea" never really got off the ground! I had post cards created, offered it to be used in a few Christian Ministry events, which it wasn't used for, an other S320 sedan I have was...

This S600 was never used as a "Limo"... This was a Business "idea", one that I had envisioned about a year & a half ago, that didn't happen.... I have 2 other W140's, a '98 SWB, and a '96 LWB and a '94 S500 Coupe, wanting this awesome V12 gem to be our Sweet Chariots "flagship..." used only for dignitaries....
I am reluctantly offering this incredibly clean V12 Powered Mercedes Sedan with RARE Rear Reclining Heated Bucket Back Seat option because my 83 year old father is dying.... and I just can't justify this fantastic vehicle not being used, so it's being offered on eBay where I bought it almost 2 years ago for a LOT More money than my Buy It Now price and have only put around 2K miles on it since I bought it from Find Great Cars out of Ramsey NJ.

IF you do a VIN search, you'll find, like 1 person did on one of these enthusiast websites, that it has had 1 "minor" accident history. I was the person driving the vehicle actually, on the return trip home to NH from the purchase from Find Great Cars, in Ramsey NJ.... I had a guy jack his brakes on me at a GREEN light intersection when the 2 cars ahead of him did go forward at the green light & he didn't... and the Police accident report said there was no significant damage, on either vehicle..., BUT the other guy reported the event to his insurance company trying to see if he could get bogus Medical claims... claims that were debunked and nothing became of it. It was a "fluke" event to say the least...

ALL that was needed for me to do was prime & repaint the front bumper cover because it was scuffed on the right side from a light rub into the crazy guy ahead of me and the lower section had a few of the usual lower area scuffs you'd see from parking lot border space cement blocks you sometimes rub up against... That's IT....

I have pictures of the scuff and the repainting of the bumper cover which I did myself. It only needs to be wet sanded & buffed, which I have started, and can show anyone the before & after actual pics and paint... It's fine now.... I had paint mixed for a perfect match & will include what I have left over if you want to do any other "touch ups"...

By confirming with a Mercedes Guru I know, before & after I bought it, we physically went over the entire vehicle, "top to bottom" and he said, this is a "beautiful beast...." he also verified the Engine Wiring Harnesses have been updated and both ETA's appear to be newer date code models than the originals would have been and the driver's side MAF sensor is a new unit and the passenger side looks like it's a good original. So all needed "updates" have been done.... These V12 engines were one of the best engines ever and run so smooth, people have balanced coins on them while running! Talk about perfect balance...

When I bought it, from Find Great Cars out of Ramsey, NJ ( a very respected eBay seller) they had changed the transmission fluid & serviced the Transmission to fix a O-Ring on the shifter shaft to take care of a small drip leak.... I have not seen any leaks or issues....

I drove it home and ran it up to 120 +mph.... Awesome stable ride.... Silky smooth..., no noises & it shifts solid and drives wonderfully.... These were built to be driven on the Autobaun, all day long at 150MPH without breaking a sweat! You are ultra confident when driving this German Masterpiece.. Its a Lear jet of the asphalt....

Even the power rear window shade still gives you subtle privacy like prominent officials used it to not be seen from the rear as they would be driven around in these Ultra Upper Class Mercedes Sedans.... The Bucket Rear Seat option gives the passengers the utmost in comfort & support.

I cleaned both Air Filter Boxes, plus the Interior Cabin Air Filter & Cleaned Both MAF Sensors & Air Temp Sensors & Changed the Oil with Synthetic Oil. The vehicle shows incredible care & respect these historically significant time capsules deserve.

I hate to see this, one of our beloved "Sweet Chariots" go.... That is the name of our Classic Car Radio Show website, SweetChariots.com where my dad & I produced this radio show & TV Pilot you can see for free online for almost 6 years before he had a major stroke, then 2 more and now cancer is slowly taking his strength by the day.... All I can say is "Thanks for the memories..."

You won 't find many of these W140's with a V12 powering it, plus the RARE Bucket rear seat option and the meticulously driven Low miles and its Classy Champagne & subtle darker shade lower trim exterior color combo and its 2 tone leather seating & ultra detailed Suede Headliner treatments.... this was Top of the Line for Mercedes.... Now it would be a Maybach....

Even the original Oki handheld Cell phone is in the armrest console, hidden, and the Bose Stereo CD & Cassette are as they were factory installed. This vehicle has not been modified & is fit for driving service or a Museum.... It's that nice....

It's the finest Mercedes I have EVER owned and I really want this to go to a good home, hopefully a Enthusiast who really knows the Original value of $133K plus other taxes bringing it close to $150K, now being offered for Less than 10% of the original price.... Cars like these don't come out for sale much, and very few were built with the Reclining Rear Bucket Seat option.
