1985 Mercedes-Benz 300-Series CD Sport Coupe Description

Excellent example of the last year of Mercedes W123 body style. This car has been garage-kept under an included Weathertech custom fitted car cover and I have copies of maintenance receipts going back through its ownership to 1985 to show the level of care given to the car. Beautiful original interior of MB Tex seats in excellent condition surrounded by beautiful wood trim. Tires are in very good condition - Michelin Defender. All lights and electrical in good working order. Recently replaced brake pads. Other major improvements over past four years (all with MB service and parts) include replacing all glow plugs and starter, installing anew sunroof electric motor, replace AC compressor. As a result, the buyer will be getting a car that has updated system throughout: car starts immediately even in cold weather, sunroof works perfectly, AC and heat are strong. Finally, the paint is amazing - it has all of the lustre as shown in the pictures, reflecting all that is around it - you will get noticed on the road and people will ask you about your car.
I typically get 26 MPG average and 29 MPG when driving on the highway. The car has excellent range given its efficiency.
This car is inincredible condition for any used car (much less one that is 31-years-old) and still has the MB smell given that it is a non-smoker car. It has good pick up on the high way and is fun to drive. Small cosmetic defects (it is 31 years old) include broken clips on the visors and mirror cover, missing plastic on back seat magazine mesh and small c.1 cm hairline crack on right side of dash (not uncommon) near right speaker which has not changed in size over my ownership. The car drives very well and dependably.
I have updated the car with a new Bluetooth Pioneer stereo with aback-up camera that allows for viewing objects behind you and for connection with your mobile phone or iPod. The speakers were updated by prior owner. I detached the Alpine amplifier as it was too strong for the Pioneer receiver but it was in working condition. The subwoofer is attached, giving the sound system a very modern feel. There is a microphone hidden on the steering stalk that permits speakerphone calls on your mobile phone via Bluetooth.
