1999 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class SL500 AMG Sport Description

The perfect project vehicle for a clasic Mercedes Roadster at a fraction of the price!
This is an excellent running R129 SL500 that needs a lot of body careIt starts with a perfect running engine with just over 100,000mi (replaced)Trans has been reworked as well, and shifts perfectlyClear title, AMG wheels and good tiresPerfect frame and newer suspension all make for a great foundation
The GoodAs stated above - Car runs like a top - NO dash warning lights!Includes Hardtop, most of the interior parts, new hood mat, new floor matsIncludes new Duraflex front bumper (unpainted), Used front fender (not perfect, but better), Used right front mirror parts and headlight trim.Front hydrolic top cylinders heve been replaced. Right rear has a leak ($60 to rebuild) and when topped off with fluid, whole top system is functional.Amazing stereo - JL Audio 9 speaker and amp system componants. Cheaper head end but it has navigation, satalitte radio, and bluetooth capabilitiesDesireable AMG package and Zenon self-leveling headlightsNew batteryIncludes windscreen and coverMost parts from old engine are also included if desired (no block)
The BadInterior was dismantled to install stereo, and never put back togetherSide parking lot impact caused damaged to right front fender, passenger door and mirrorHood popped open while driving and sustained damage to hinge sysem and minor damage to hood panel and finish. Some interior parts are not with car - most notably rear view mirror enclosure/overhead consoleRear brakes are shot. Right rear especially
The UglyBody damage as noted and seen in picsMinor rust around antenae, trunk lock, and door hadle - generally good thoughInterior generally fair (door panels, headliner, carpet) but missing a few pieces - noted aboveLeather seat covers are shotConvertible top overall is fair, but rear plastic windows are cloudy and cracked
This car looks rough, but with some work, it could easily become a $6.000-8,000 classic that will go another 100,000 miles in style!
