1999 Mercedes-Benz SL500 Sport Pack Hardtop Convertible Heated Leather AMG Wheel
1999 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class Description
Up for sale is a prime example of 1990's Mercedes luxury. This is my 1999 Mercedes SL500 roadster. I've owned this car for about a year and it’s been an absolute blast to own and drive. An SL will always be a stylish vehicle, and this one is not different. Very desirable Black on Black with the Sports Package, this SL draws tons of attention and stares everywhere it goes. It was bought new in 1998 as a corporate car then sold to a local man here in NJ about a year later. He was the only other owner for the past 15 years and was meticulous about maintaining it.
Vehicle is sold AS-IS with NO existing or implied warranties.

Work that has been done recently:

- Fresh Oil and Filter Change done with OEM Mercedes Filter and Mobile 1 0-W40 oil at 108k miles
- New Passenger's seat airbag weight sensor replaced last year by Mercedes ($1,050 installed)
- New H&R Sport Springs and New OEM Spring Pads installed about a month ago
- New Mercedes Wiper Blade ($48) installed 3 months ago
- Had Paintless Dent Removal take all of the dents he could get to out of the car
What needs some attention in the future:
- Passenger's door has a small dent near the front edge that my paintless dent guy cannot get out (see pictures)
- The left rear hydraulic roof cylinder has a small leak that occasionally drips fluid (a very common problem). Top goes up and down as intended
- Driver's seat side bolster has some wear (see picture)
- Driver's side auto dimming feature on the exterior mirror does not work (interior still auto dims and power adjustments still work)
- Factory soft-top rear windows are clouded and some of the stitching has come undone. Quoted about $600 to replace rear section of the top.
- Car has some chips and scratches to be expected for a 17 year old car, but still shows very well
- Hood pad has a rid in it (see pictures)
- Could use 2 new front tires soon. Plenty of tread, just getting dry-rotted on the sidewalls
Overall, this is still a very timeless vehicle and is as excellent to drive as a daily driver as it is a weekend toy. If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to ask me.
