This R350 is a phenomenal, smooth, luxurious and spacious 3-row vehicle with full-time all-wheel drive that can tackle any weather that mother nature throws at it.It’s taken many long distance trips and tackles snow and ice like a champ.Check out some of the cool videos on YouTube of the R350 in the deep snow of the Swiss Alps. Overall my favorite Mercedes model and gets decent miles-per-gallon for an AWD full-size crossover/suv.

The extended warranty is thru FORD and is the FORD ESP PremiumCare Plan (for Competitive Make Vehicles) and has been a no-fuss money-saver for each of my Mercedes vehicles.This was a very expensive full-featured warranty (NOT a power-train only warranty) that covers over 2000+ items, including:

·Covers the emission system and components.

·Covers air suspension system and components

·Covers electrical system, wiring and components; including internal computers, navigation system, etc.

·Covers engine, transmission, steering & AWD systems.

This Mercedes has been very well maintained with all factory recommended services performed and documented.All factory TSB’s are up to date.As with all models and makes of vehicles, including luxury vehicles such as this R350, certain items require repair/replacement.Most of the major wear-and-tear (new plugs, trans service, etc.) and warranty replacement items have already been done in the past few years.The value of the warranty coverage cannot be understated as it has already covered $3k+ in warranty repairs for rear suspension air springs, rear hatch latch motor, trans cooler lines, etc.My out-of-pocket costs were two separate $100 deductibles.

This R350 has the proven durable and powerful V6 3.5Lengine and smooth-shifting 7-speed transmission.The engine has plenty of power and passes with ease on the interstate.

Regarding the Autocheck report, showing twocollisions. Prior to purchase, I had a CarFax report I had run onvehicle before purchase at 52,566 miles did not catch record of the 1st incident in 2013. I can assume it was a non-collision (non-major) bumper scratch or somethingin a parking lot. For your assurance, subsequent inspections by Ford dealer when prior owner traded-in, and subsequent vehicle inspections done for Ford ESP Warranty coverage would have noted any structural damage or structural issues that would have made vehicle ineligible for coverage. The vehicle was approved for Ford ESP Coverage, so I had no concerns at time of purchase. I know that the 2nd accident record (2015) was NOT an impact collision as our Mercedes was parked at a yard sale. A passerby was turning into their driveway with a moving truck with one of those large metal squarish bumper bars in the rear. When negotiating the turn into the driveway, the driver of moving truck turned too close and the corner of the rear bumper bar just barely caught the front-most corner inside of the frontdriverwheel-well (in front of the tire and didn'ttouch the tire/rim) and barely caught the plastic front bumper fascia. It peeled the cosmetic front plastic bumper fascia (not the underside fascia) from thevehicle structure and did not affect the structure of the car. This was not an "impact" frontal-motion collision and no structure of car was affected. However since the cosmetic plastic bumper fascia was cracked, distorted and peeled away from the car structure; it was expensive to getcosmeticbumper fascia replaced and parking sensors reseated, so an insurance claim was filed against the moving truck driver.

Some final notes on exterior condition;

New tires (Yokohama YK580s with 60k tread warranty) were installed July 2016 at Discount Tire and have about 8k miles on them and look new.There are a some door-ding imprints on both sides, and a few recent tiny nicks/chips in the paint that can be touched-up, consistent with an 8-year young vehicle.This vehicle passed Illinois emissions testing as required for license plate sticker renewal October 2016.
