1973 Mercedes-Benz 200-Series Description

For sale is my beautifully restored 1973 Mercedes Benz 280c. 15,000 miles ago the car was stripped to bare metal and repainted, at the same time the engine and transmission were pulled and completely rebuilt. odometer reads 25000I'm assuming 125000. The car spent its entire life in Alabama and is a 3 owner car. I purchased it from a dealer who bought it from the estate of the man who restored it. The dealer was in northern Florida, as a spring break adventure I took my wife and 3 younger children down to pick it up and we zig zagged our way through the south and drove it home to Iowa. I put over 1400 miles on the car during our vacation and never had a single issue, it was an amazingly comfortable and event free drive. When I got the car back home it needed a few minor issues addressed. I had my mechanic put all new wheel bearings, slotted and vented rotors, and ceramic pads on the car. He also installed a new cap, plug wires, and coil.($1500 for brake and ignition work)The battery is less than a month old and the tires only have a few thousand miles on them. The air conditioning and heater work great. The car just received a $350 professional detailing inside and outand looks amazing. I wouldn't hesitate to get in it and drive another 1400 miles across the country. It comes with some records from therestoration and maintenance receipts,.also included are the repair manuals.Thechocolate brown paint is in show condition. All of the interior seat covers and carpets were replaced when it was painted so they are in as new condition. All electronics work great with the exception of the radio antenna. The radio works fine and still gets good reception. The engine bay is nice and tidy. The chrome trim where the door meets the glass shows scratches and buffing marks. I guarantee its one of the nicest 280c's in the country, with that being said it is over 40 years old and all old cars have their quirks. I welcome all questions or inspections. I have set the reserve at a very reasonable price, I'm only looking to break even as my family has already enjoyed our cross country drive in it. five 1 five 577 458 three. Thank you for your consideration.

car is being sold as is with no warranty or returns ( as all 43 yr old cars are)
