1995 Mercedes-Benz S-Class Description

Up for sale is my project car a 1995 S600 (WDBGA57E5SA200085). Black pearl/ black, 143100 miles. The car was purchased from Yingst Motors in Palmyra Pa for $8710 on 11/13. It had $65000 worth of previous maintenance and restoration work performed along with all the documentation. I was slowly going through the car doing restoration work when the hail storm hit. Unfortunately, little hail bumps on the hood, roof and rear deck lid

I have reached the limit of my patience with this car. I will sell it for whatever it will bring. My loss, your gain. It starts fine and drives properly. Sometimes the ASR light comes on. Sometimes not. It goes out when you restart the engine. The interior is impeccable (see pictures)

The Good

1 all engine wiring harnesses replaced (previous owner)

2 rebuilt both ETA, work done by Victor in NYC ($1K)

3 Rebuilt the transmission ($2K)

4 Rebuilt the rear end, new bushings and accumulators, ($2.6K)

5 Replaced the SRS computer module ($1.2K)

6 Installed new Kenwood XM, HD, BT radio ($300)

7 Replaced window regulator, right rear ($100)

8 Replaced engine fan clutch ($200)

9 Replaced both front & rear bumper covers ($1K)

10 New OEM ADS computer module ($3K)

The Bad

1 HVAC computer just went kaput without warning (AC was blowing cold)

2 Water pump bearing appears to be wobbly (engine temp is fine)

3 Check engine light is on (code readout indicates a defective vacuum switch to retard 2=>3 transmission shift when cold)

4 Leak in the bladder for the orthopedic seats

5 Needs new rear struts

Extras

Two lambskin seat covers, set of 18 inch wheels, set of chrome plated wheel bolts, 2 sets of OEM carpeted floor mats, set of Weather Tec floor mats, one MB car cover

This a good project car (or a valuable parts car) for someone with the time and effort to attend to it. All offers considered. This car will be sold. Sorry, no bidders with less than 5 feedback score
