2004 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Description

This auction contains a perfectly maintained 2004 Mercedes Benz C230. My wife bought the car with 15k on it 10 years ago from Carmax. Mercedes maintained it until the factory warranty expired and then I took over. I have always maintained this car to factory standards over the years. She used the car as a daily driver and was not a racer, so it was not used hard. Garaged essentially all these years and there is hardly ever any weather in Las Vegas. The car went from Mercedes oil to Mobil 1, and Mobil 1 has always been used ever since. Always to OEM standards, I have done all the following typical C230 repairs over the years, including camshaft seals, front main seal, idler pulley, alternator, partial load crankcase check valve (under the supercharger), vacuum pump, driver and passenger power door lock ("lock pogo") replacement, armrest replacement, all 4 control arms and 2 stabilizer links, thermostat housing, heater core & oil filter coolant lines, transmission electrical connector and seal. On top of this the more normal maintenance has been done and is all current; the car has a newer battery, drive belt, thermostat, pads and rotors front and back, new calipers front, basically new $1k Pirelli tires, green radiator fluid, even a new radiator cap. Brake fluid was always bled when the brakes were done to keep the system fluid fresh. I know there has been more than this over the years, but this is what I recall over the last decade. I recently topped off the freon charge and the a/c is ice cold.
Needless to say the car is as close to factory operational standards as possible, I dare say you won't find another one in the country in this trustworthy.
I replaced the factory headlamps (the actual housings) a few years ago as the factory headlight housings on these cars haze over the years. Clear projector headlamp housings with HID bulbs were installed. This was done to improve visibility of the outer desert highway at night, the light is essentially white, not blue.
Cosmetically the car is obviously not brand new but it is in great shape. As I said, no weather in Vegas. There is some minor road rash typical with the age, as well as a few small door dings and/or minor superficial scratches. Obviously nothing major otherwise you could see them in the photos. The inside isn't perfect but as close to perfect as you will find, no major blemishes. No cracked leather or any of that, just the fewest smallest spots here and there. Again if they were that big you could see them in the photos. Just trying to be as honest as possible.
Dealers sell this car for $5 to $6k. The only reason I have the price lower on this car is because the sunroof is disconnected. The panoramic sunroof itself actually works, however the power roller blind is not working. It is too hot in Vegas for the sunroof anyway so I manually closed the power blinds and disconnected the sunroof motor. You could open the roller blinds and use the sunroof without them, or consider the lower price and just fix the sunroof if you want. We found the car plenty sharp without the look of the sunroof, especially with the HID lights at night, so I would just save the extra money and run this car for years more. I will also note that sometimes the left power mirror switch doesn't work but the car is small enough that you just set the mirror where you want and you're done. I really cannot think of any tiny other little thing to say about the car. There's probably more good than I am forgetting than bad.
Our growing family brought the need to get a bigger car however we would trust this car to run for us for years more if we could. We've seen nearly 30 MPG on the highway with this car. Cruises smooth, suspension is tight. Obviously no check engine lights. Great running car, looks great, great price.
You can get a ride to Vegas to pick up the car, or fly out and drive it back. If you want to arrange shipping, my zip code is 89084, just tell me who will be coming to pick up the car. I can deliver the car to you on a trailer for $1.06/mile based on the distance from my zip code to your zip code.
Thanks for looking and bidding! Any questions or requests for other information, certainly let me know.
