This is my 2004 Mercedes S430. I acquired this 2 owner gem from a man in TN who won the car in his divorce settlement. The car reminded him of his ex and he no longer could bear looking at it. This car cost $100,000 new! It only has 104,xxx miles. The car was sitting on the tires when I bought it. I purchased 2 brand new air struts for the front and went ahead and installed a new control arm on the passenger side. The car needed a valve body for the transmission which was a common issue. This car has the rare 722.9 7 speed option. So I had to buy a new valve body along with a new conductor plate. Taillights were not working so I had to buy a new rear sam module and also found out the traces on the taillights were corroded so I bought brand new taillights. Went through car front to back checking everything and replacing anything that I saw was problematic. The car now runs and drives awesome! I just put over $3000 in brand new parts in this car.
The only negatives on this car are:Your normal scratches, scrapes dings for a vehicle this age. Air conditioning don't work (needs compressor), needs tires (they don't leak air and they have plenty of tread....just dry rotted), The bearing in water pump pulley is going bad. May last 5 days may last 5 years but it comes with a brand new water pump, pulley and gasket whenever it decides to break.
