2003 brought a newly-designed SL, and Mercedes-Benz celebrated with a special designo Launch Edition. Just 2000 of these were built. They came with a long list of options, plus features that were unique to this launch model.

The color is called "designo Silver", and it was available EXCLUSIVELY on the 2003 Launch Edition, as were the unique 18" rims.

The exterior is in excellent shape. The paint shines all around. Carfax shows no accident history, or any other problems.

Looks great from all angles, with the top up or down.

The interior is in remarkable condition for a 2003 model year car - no holes or tears in the Nappa leather seats, no stains, no odors, no burn marks.

Both front seats have power controls and memory settings. Both front seats are heated and ventilated AND they have the multi-contour controls with massage.

This Mercedes-Benz comes with power windows, locks and mirrors; remote entry. auto dual-zone climate control; power tilt and telescopic wheel, trip computer / driver info center;cruise control; auto headlamps, and more.

This car is very nice, but it is not new, and is not perfect. There is some subtle wrinkling of the leather on the dash on the passenger side, and the trim piece at the top of the shift knob is missing.

The automatic transmission also has a sequential manual shift mode.

This SL also has the ABC sport suspension, plus adjustable height.

The COMMAND "infotainment" center features a large screen that shows audio system settings and GPS Navigation maps and info, as well as system settings.

The audio system includes a CD changer.

The trunk is clean and roomy. there's plenty of space with the top up, and still some usable storage area with the top down.

The 5.0 liter V8 runs strong and melted-butter smooth. Its rated at 302 hp and 329 lb-ft of torque.

Carfax shows 28 service records

The tires have good tread all the way around.

This car has 51,982actual miles on it. It could be driven, so mileage might be a little higher by the time the auction is over.

We are a licensed and bonded auto dealer in Florida.

Please read my description and all other information completely and view all the pictures carefully before you bid on this auction to ensure you are knowledgeable about the vehicle you are bidding on. The vehicle description above is for informational and narrative purposes only. We have made a diligent effort to describe the vehicle as accurately as possible, but we do not guarantee the accuracy of the description. All of our vehicles are available for inspection and test drive, and we encourage you to do so. When buying a used car, one should expect a certain amount of wear, use and flaws that one would not expect from buying a new car. Vehicles with remaining warranty must be handled between purchaser and new car dealer. We occasionally buy our cars from new car dealers, and in rare cases the dealer has to make a payoff to a finance company and wait for the title, which could be delayed up to 15 days. Please note that if the vehicle is from outside of Florida, this can take up to 30 days.

Payment and Fees

We will add a $795 dealer prep charge to the final bid price. If a vehicle is not picked up within 10 days of the auction close, we reserve the right to charge a reasonable storage fee.

If you are seeking financing, please be sure to hold off on your bid until your funding has been approved. I DO NOT ACCEPT BANK DRAFTS OF ANY KIND. You are responsible for your own finance arrangements so please take care of them before bidding.
You may pay the purchase price in cash, with a cashiers or certified check or wire transfer. If you are the winner, a $2000 deposit within 24 hours of the end of the auction is sufficient to hold the car until the remainder can be sent or car is picked up. Final payment is expected within 72 hours (3 days) of auction's end. If these forms of payment are not acceptable, please do not bid

If you are a Florida resident, you will be required to pay Florida's 6% sales tax and registration fees.

If you are not a Florida resident, and you are are driving the vehicle away from our lot, you will be required to pay your state's sales tax up to 6%. If your state's sales tax is more than 6%, you will be required to pay the difference in your home state. If your state has no sales tax on motor vehicles, we will not charge you any sales tax. If you have the vehicle shipped, we will not charge you any sales tax (however, you will have to pay your state's tax at home).
