2000 Mercedes-Benz E-Class Description

Purchased new by my father in 200, this Mercedes was garaged and did not see rain or snow for 15 years! Always serviced by Mercedes Benz in West Chester PA. It was driven rarely by him until he passed a few years ago. The car has approx. 50000 miles, is in excellent running condition, and drives like a dream. It sat for several years unused in the garage after my father became ill and passed away so before I drove it from the East Coast to my home in Colorado in 2015 I had it serviced and gone over by the Mercedes dealer, replacing any aged seals that might have leaked through not being driven and anything worn and purchased new tires at that time. I also installed a new battery. My intention was to keep it but I live in a small mountain town at 9000+ feet in the Rockies. Since we can usually count on snow for about 6 months out of the year a 4 wheel drive with aggressive snow tires is the better choice for getting around! This has been a gently used Mercedes! The transmission is a 5 speed auto with a switch for winter or sport mode driving. It is all wheel drive with traction control ABS and an ESP switch that will lock the rear differential for increased traction in winter driving. I replaced the stereo with an AM/FM cd player that also pairs with your phone for hands free calling. I kept the original Mercedes stereo that connects to a multi cd changer located in the trunk. It is included in the sale and can be easily reconnected. Seats are power and heated with memory setting control, power moonroof also. It has some scratches around the driver and passenger front door handle and a small spot in the paint on the hood . The rest in that pic of the hood are watermarks There is an area on the rear passenger bumper cover that has cracked paint and is peeling from the plastic near the rear wheel. The interior front seats show some wear but seem in good shape otherwise. There is a small ding from a door opening into the car on the left rear door and some small scratches on doors from parking lot wars. A small piece is missing from the front airdam (too close to a high parking curb!) It was a bittersweet decision to sell it but necessary to purchase a car more suitable to our climate up here.
