1979 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class 280SL Description

For sale is my 1979 Mercedes-Benz 280 SL Euro model. It was bought as a project for my step son and myself, but he has lost interest and so it is time to sell. The pictures of the car in progress. Contact me for any other shots you might want.
The good: New aluminum hood, new trunk lid and front fenders, engine and drive train is amazing, pulling stronger than my 1974 450 SL with almost twice the displacement and two more cylinders. Those Euro-only 2.8 litre M110 engines are amazing. The interior is decent, with working heated seats! The car comes with a new original soft top and a hard top that is painted in gold. (both are not originsal to the car)
The not so good: The door cards have been cut to install speakers, most of which are missing. The stereo and CD changer are not working and are disconnected. The tires are intact and hold air, but are old and so not to be trusted for long drives. However, I take her around town on a regular basis as she is insured and has plates. She is a blast to drive!
The not so pretty: The car is mostly in primer due to most of the body panels either being replaced or having any rust welded and fixed. The trim is off the car but is available to be installed after the car is painted.
This car is ready for the finishing touches. I am looking to get back what I have in the car so the price is what I would call very reasonable for a running driving Mercedes 280 SL.
