Think again: In 1965 AMG founders Hans Werner Aufrecht and Erhard Melcher built their first 300 SE direct injection engine at Aufrecht's home...just for fun. Fast forward to 2013 Mercedes-AMG unveiled the SL63, which rewrote the definition of what a luxurious sports car represents by combining the regular SL-series incredible refinement and comfort with an adrenaline inducing Twin Turbo V8 engine. Exterior. This SL stands out from the rest in the special ordered Cerussite Gray Magno matte finish, and is defined by its signature long hood layout and a wide stance which is clearly the dominate feature. coupled with the AMG aerodynamics package and a carbon fiber rear decklid lip.. Styling is added with the massive AMG Red brake calipers, AMG 10 Spoke Forged Wheels in Black.

Performance. The grand tourer freight train was originally powered by a Twin Turbo 530Hp 5.5L V8 which is routed through a sophisticated rear-wheel drive system and a MCT 7 Speedshift Auto transmission. The AMG Performance package was installed and AMG turned up the turbo boost, resulting in a total of 557 horsepower and 664 pound-feet of torque. The package also brings red brake calipers, a speed limiter pushed from 155 mph to 186, a steering wheel partially covered in synthetic suede, and a locking limited-slip differential.

Interior. Sitting inside the SL, the driver is immersed in Bengal red leather with Carbon fiber trim interior. On top of the immense standard list of comfort and safety features, this Benz is equipped with the optional Driver Assistance Package, and Dinamica suede headliner, and soft close doors.. The vibrant LCD screen sports a Navigation system, review camera along with Bluetooth, Car setting menus and all the Harman Kardon LOGIC7 sound system controls.
