1995 Mercedes-Benz S-Class LWB Description

Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to check out each of the 70+ photos and read this entire written description, as well as our Terms & Conditions, carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid as most answers can be found in at least one of those places. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 1995 Mercedes-Benz S320 LWB. I would rate the exterior of this W140 to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for it's age and mileage. As you can see, this is a good looking sedan. It is finished in Black and Gray two tone over Gray leather interior, which looks good. The black finish has a deep shine and looks as smooth as glass. As with any older vehicle, please expect to find a few flaws and imperfections commensurate with age and mileage. However, you'd be hard pressed to find anything worth complaining about as you walk around the exterior of this Merc. All of the trim and cladding is present and shows well. All of the glass and lenses are intact. The factory alloy wheels show well for their age and are wrapped in a matching set of Michelin's with average tread all around. As with most older Michelin's, you can see some dry rot on the sides of the tires so they'll probably need replaced in the near future. Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully to see how clean this S320 looks. I would also rate the interior of this S320 to be in ABOVE AVERAGE CONDITION for it's age and mileage. The door cards are clean and tight. The carpets show a few marks from age but are acceptable. The leather trimmed seats are soft, supple and comfortable. Both front seats are power operated. The wood veneers show well throughout the interior and indicate that this S320 most likely spent her life in a garage. The vacuum closing doors all work but the trunk closing assist does not. The windows do not work. I'm assuming that it is a switch issue since none of them work. Also, you'll need to code for the radio, which can be had with a quick call to any Mercedes-Benz dealer. The climate control system is fully automatic and appears to be working properly. The heater works well and the air conditioner blows ICE COLD AIR, too. The trunk is spacious and clean. Again, please take the time to check out each of the photos carefully. Mechanically, this S320 appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 3.2L inline six cylinder engine starts easily and runs smoothly. I didn't notice any leaks and the engine does not smoke. Her road manners are good for an older vehicle. You can feel a little age in the front bushings, but nothing horrible. Steering and braking feel good, too. The one thing I noticed about this Merc that concerned me is that she gets hot if you let her idle, as I do while I take my photos. I glanced in at the dash and saw the temperature sitting around 110C, so I shut her down as a precaution. For my road test, I was prepared for the worst...but nothing bad happened. I took it out on the highway to get her good and hot and then off the highway and went for a slow country drive, since it would cause the cooling system to not be able to dissapate heat quickly from simply speed of the vehicle...but nothing. She kept around 80-90 the whole time. I don't see any smoke. All of the fluids look clean. I can hear the fans run...so I'm kind of stumped. My best guess is that maybe the water pump getting weak or maybe the radiator is partially gunked up from age. I don't see anything major wrong. The transmsission engages smoothly and shifts properly with zero issues. Out on the highway, she drives nice and straight and cruises easily. If you're looking for a clean W140 and don't want to spend a fortune for a low mileage example, this S320 might be a good fit. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
