You are looking at one of the nicest 300TD wagons you will find. This car has been pampered and garage kept for most of its life, and it shows. In mostly original condition, the “ Manila Beige” paint still shines like new. The body is very straight, no dents. There are only minor flaws to be found, such as small chips from sand, misc scratches, etc. The overall impression of the exterior is excellent. The body is solid and straight. I cannot find any rust on the body or undercarriage. The bumpers, window rubber, chrome, etc are all excellent. The hand painted pinstripe is flawless. The tires are only a few months old. The palomino interior is impressive. The original carpet did not match the condition of the rest of the car, so I went ahead and replaced all of the interior carpeting, including the trunk with the correct factory “feintuft” wool. This was not cheap, but it was absolutely worth it. It makes the interior feels like a brand new car. The wood trim is brilliant and glossy with no cracks. The original dashboard is also in excellent condition, with only a few hairline cracks in the corners by the speaker. The window switches, gauges, etc are all in excellent condition. This car has the very rare cargo net that still looks new. The seats are firm and have no cracks or tears. The headliner is also clean without any tears.
With only 165K miles, this wagon runs strong. It starts without hesitation, idles smooth and has plenty of power (for a diesel wagon, that is!) . The transmission shifts sure and proper. All of the displays, gauges, lights, switches, etc. work properly. The climate control (heat & AC) both work. The mechanical condition is very tight. It has been serviced, all belts, filters, fluids have been replaced. The AC has been charged so that the car is ready for summer. This wagon is ready to be enjoyed by the new owner!
