AWD White,Tan Leather Heated Seats,Towing Pkg, Moonroof, New 20" Rims & Tires
2002 Mercury Mountaineer Description
This SUV is exactly the deal you have been praying for. My loss, Your gain. I got the dreaded 3rd OWI, no licence for years so I don't need this anymore. I need to pay my fines. This is the ONLY reason I am letting it go for the price I need. I had JUST put a rebuilt transmission in it, Brand New Off Road TUFF 20" rims and brand new tires. Literally less than 200 miles on them. I also have the original Rims with Great all season tires on them as well for the snow or what have you. The interior is almost MINT. The only problem with it is on the front buckets, the leather seams are worn from getting in and out. Not bad, and you can even purchase BRAND NEW Leather seat skins, not covers, the actual OEM leather coverings that came from the factory, they are here on Ebay and with those replaced, the interior would be dam near new. It does have rusty rocker panels, needs O2 Sensors, and a windshield that isn't cracked which is only around $225 installed, but your insurance may cover it. NOTE: The person I bought it from was the second owner who had it from 30,000 to around 170,000 something. I havea DOCUMENTED maintenance sheet from that person. Like almost everything was documented and mileage recorded almost to the point that it's listed every time he stopped at a rest area to leave a deuce......LOL but really, I have it. This thing was babied and I didn't even get a chance to drive it much because the transmission went out a couple years after I bought it and it sat in my parents garage for almost 4yrs until I had the ability to get it repaired. I did that, got the "shoes" and only made it around 200 miles before I got a third offence OWI, even though all three of them did NOT include me driving or getting pulled over, I was just near the car twice and sitting in it once to get picked up by a friend so it was NEVER involved in any skirmishes where she was even in danger of getting hurt...... sucks for me, but great for you!
It needs some TLC. Stored for last 4yrs with blown Transmission which is common on these 2001-02 Mountaineer's and Ford Explorer AWD's. It may also need front tie rods and an alignment. Also, just replaced the rear wheel bearings which are also a common fix. I have documentation from the owner before me going back to 30,000 miles or so notating everything that was fixed, maintained, ect...... Never been wrecked to my knowledge. Drives so sweet, even has sun tinted windows more so than just factory because you can't even hardly see inside of it when it's just sitting in the drive. I wouldn't be even considering letting this go but for the fact that I cannot drive, I have fines to pay and it really hurts to see her go but I am just letting it go for what I need for my fines and such. If you are thinking my price point is to high, shoot me an offer. I just may accept it! Would be great for a back yardigan like myself to flip or even part out and double your money which would kinda suck cuz it is a nice ride but hey, what you gotta do is what you gotta do!
I have tried to list everything I can think of that may need attention. I've tried to take pics of everything and I am being as forthright about everything as I do not want you to have any surprises. I do have a few more pics but it only let me list 24 so if you want to see the rest, feel free to contact me for those or for any questions you may have. I value my 100% perfect Feedback status more than anything. I have never had one disappointed buyer, EVER! Here are the things I can think of again that need attention: Rockers, O2 Sensors, MAYBE outside front tie rods and an alignment, Cracked windshield, front seat bottom skins and maybe some wax! Anyhow, Don't try to low-ballme cuz I am a car guy and know what the value it attains. However, I just need a fraction of that in order to try to get myself back on track. I am willing to have someone drive it to meet you for the exchange for up to 50 miles from my location of Holton, Michigan 49425. She just needs a new owner that has a licence! Thanks for considering my offer and auction. It's not perfect, I'm not claiming it to be, but for the money, you could never get one of these in this kind of shape for any less. It would be $1,000's more but it only needs a few hundred invested in it to make her GLEAM! Thanks again and have a wonderful day!
I do also have it listed on Craigslist and it may be sold locally before the end of this listing to which I am reserving the right to end the auction early if it is sold locally. I am also willing to work with anyone on getting it shipped, however the cost of that would be the responsibility of the auction winner but I am willing to deliver it to a location that is necessary for it to be picked up, loaded and sent on her way. Thanks again, Have a great day here on Ebay!
