Here is one you will not find every day. This '95 4.6L V8 Cougar XR7 is like a time capsule and this 'cat' is now a certified classic. You will not find a better way to find one of these, it's completely stock with no modifications aside from a dealer installed 6-disc CD changer, never modified, never wrecked and comes from the most forgiving climate on the continent so there is not one lick of corrosion. On top of that, it's very complete including both sets of keys and remotes, all floor mats, jack/tools including the original lock nut key in it's original envelope and all owners books. Finished in the most desirable color combination of White Opalescent Tri-Coat Pearl exterior over a Mocha Leather interior, it is striking in the sunlight, the photos do not do the car any justice. Please take the time to review the nearly 85 full sized photos below including several of the undercarriage where you can see the car is just immaculate, it even still bears the original manufacturers tags and 'chalk markings' on various components.

The body of the car is nice and straight, of course it is a 22 yr old classic with more than 5 miles on it so there are a few blemishes like a chip above the front left wheel-well, a fine scratch in the left 1/4 panel, a scratch under the driver's side mirror and a scuff on the front of the right rear wheel well, other than that, the paint is shiny with no dings or dents. Glass is excellent, clear all the way around and all lights/lenses and trim are all intact and look nice. The BF Goodrich tires are reversible if you desire a white-wall and they are good quality tires but they are older and are showing some signs of age, great for cruising around town but I would suggest updating them for any extended highway use. Factory alloy wheels are all in nice condition and all have their original center caps.

The interior is equally as nice as the exterior. The car smells fresh and has absolutely no tobacco or foul/pet odors etc. The drivers seat on the very top left is suffering from some UV wear and is dry but still intact, other than that all the leather is decent with no damage or seam separation. Dash, console, door panels, headliner and visors are all excellent with no heat beat or damage. Carpets are clean and do not show much aging. The car is nicely equipped with power windows, power door locks, keyless entry, AM/FM/Cassette w/ 6 disc CD changer, Cruise, tilt, power seats and more. Everything seems to be in good working order (I did not try a Cassette or CD, radio works great).

Mechanically the car is good. The engine is smooth, powerful and quiet, it starts promptly and there are no lower end or valve noises from the motor. Transmission shifts well, smoothly and gets through all gears just fine. The car holds the road well and drives very nicely for an original 22yr old car. Brakes feel good and there are no 'check engine' or any other warning lights on in the dash, all gauges appear to be in good working order.

In all this will be a great buy for a mid-level collector or someone who just loves this body style. Mercury brand vehicles that are exceptional like this one are becoming more of an interest as the company has now been shut down since 2011. Fortunately, the car shared the same drivetrain as the Mustang and a few others so many parts are still available through your local Ford dealer. The car is worth every bit of the $6450 I'm wanting for it but I may entertain reasonable offers from real buyers so I have allowed the "Best Offer" feature on this car.
