2005 Mini Cooper S 6 speed manual grey with black roof. 2 tone grey and black leather interior. This is a generation 1 Mini aka the best generation :) Very nice condition.
This is not an original John Cooper Works (JCW) but it has been upgraded with the John Cooper Works (JCW) package: Front and rear bumper, side skirts, rear spoiler, jcw front brake upgrade with red jcw calipers. This package altogether is worth over $4k. I also have hood stripes and roof rack available. Well maintained. This is the 6 speed manual not the junky automatic.
The oil and filter was changed every 3000 miles. There is not one leak on this car nor issue with heater or air-conditioning system. This car was adult owned and never raced or abused. The clutch is beautiful and you can feel every tooth of every gear coming together. The suspension is nice and tight as this year's parts are interchangable with the bmw m3. It handles like a dream. Better than most newer cars.
The car drives great however it will need the supercharger repaired soon. Hence the low price. It has developed a rattle. I had it diagnosed by two different mechanics to verify. These superchargers are rated for 100k miles and that's pretty spot on. The other supercharged Minis with 100k+ miles you see for sale I can guarantee they need a new supercharger or will soon. Don't be fooled. At least I'm being honest. You can get a low cost, good quality used or rebuilt supercharger easily on EBay. Price usually ranges between $350-1300 depending if you go used or rebuilt. You could also send the supercharger on the car out to be rebuilt. Many options. This would be perfect for a mechanic or someone with a little mechanical know-how who wants to do it themselves. If you don't want to do it yourself, labor is about $700-1200 depending on where you go. Don't go to the Mini dealer!!! Other than that, I believe the tire monitor needs a new sensor because the light is on but the tires are constantly maintaining the proper pressure. Not a big deal.
Nothing else is wrong with the car. Every other issue these cars typically have has already been taken care of. Replace the supercharger and this car should easily go another 100k miles. The price I'm asking for the car more than accounts for the repairs needed. You could fix it and keep it or flip it for a profit. My loss is your gain as they say. Normally, a Mini like this with the JCW package would be upwards of $7k!
The exterior is in good shape. The paint shines up great and still looks new especially with a nice waxing. It has typical wear and tear for a car of it's age. The usual rock chips on the lower end of the front bumper and scoop of the side skirts. A few minor scratches hear and there but nothing major to speak of. No dents. There is a very small spot of some bubbling underneath the driver side tail light. I've attached pics. The interior is in very nice condition. The drivers seat has some minor cracking on the side as seen in pic. Overall, this is a very nice looking Mini. It gets looks everywhere I go and is super fun to drive.
I'm selling the car because I just moved from MA to FL and I no longer need it. Otherwise, I would just fix it. Title in hand. Currently registered and insured in my name. You'd be hard pressed to find another Mini as good looking as this one for this price. I've been very descriptive about the car but if you have any questions feel free to ask or come check it out.
