1996 Nissan D21 Hardbody Extended Cab Pickup Truck
1996 Nissan Other Pickups Extended Cab Description
1996 Nissan D21 Hardbody Extended Cab Pickup Truck.
I've always loved the smaller Datsuns and eventually Nissans so this was obviously on the automotive bucketlist. Anybody that knows cars and trucks knows these are some of the toughest trucks ever made with many running strong over 500,000 miles. Enthusists will also know that 1996 models are the rarest especially so with this being a manual extended cab. I've had my fun with it as a daily for a couple months but its time to let it go and get something else I want. Its in pretty good condition especially considering how you usually find them let alone for one with mileage like this one. Below are the pros/cons to the vehicle.
The Good:
-Runs flawlessly
-Everything functions as it should
-Great gas mileage and longevity
-Recent oil change
-Recent tune-up
-Virginia inspection through May
-99% Rust Free(These trucks are notorious for rust but the only rust I've found so far is a very light coating of surface rust on the frame.)
-Majority of mileage was highway use. (Lower wear)
-Paint is pretty good with original decals in good condition.
-3 owner truck
-Pioneer Radio
-LED lights installed in grille
-Ball hitch installed
-Premium wheels
-Fold down rear seats
The Bad:
-Rear tires need replacing somewhat soon
-Small rattle in top of steering column. (Mechanic said its probably a non-critical bearing thats loose)
-Check engine light keeps coming on due to oxygen sensors that keep going bad. (Non-critical)
-Headliner is torn
-Drivers seat has two tears
-Small Crack on the dash
-Very small paint chips
As you can see this is a worry free fantastic truck at a fantastic value ready to drive daily for years to come as long with the only critical item needed soon being rear tires. Asking $3000. Price is somewhat flexible but also know I'm not extremely urgent to sell. Try to find another one this good.
