1974 Oldsmobile Ninety-Eight Regency
1974 Oldsmobile Ninety-Eight Description
You are looking at an extremely nice '74 Olds. I just added new tires,exhaust,tune-up and other odds and ends as it had been sitting. The car has only travelled 8,000 miles since 1996. It might need a new heater core, but I'm not sure yet. It doesn't leak, but there is a little misting on the windshield if you run the fan. It might just be plugged up-other than that-this car is super nice. If you are looking for a near pristine '74 Olds-this is pretty close. Not quite there, but close.
It will need a few rear bumper filler end sections(they are still there, just cracked and the one has a chip out of it),the paint could use some touch-up work on the bottom of rear doors where the body line sticks out(rock chip wear)
The interior is near perfect with a little wear showing on the drivers side arm rest-therest is pristine. It still smells like a new car.
The car runs and drives great, radio works and sounds amazing, super fun to cruise in.
There is a small spot on rust on the right front fender and left rear fender skirt(they are metal) and that's it.
This car is from Williston,North Dakota and was garaged for over 40 years until I got it. I don't have a garage,so I keep it covered when not in use. I worked on it and really made it nice and was going to keep it,but I found my dream car and bought it instead so I can't stand to see this one just sit. I want someone to enjoy it,bring it up to par leaving where I left off and have some fun. It's NOT DEMO DERBY material,it's car show material as it sits. If you have any questions, feel free to message me. No problem at all. I really feel the car will answer any questions you might have if you study the pictures closely.
If you looking at any spots on the ground in the photos,it's water drops as I just done washing the car before I took the pictures. It does not leak oil and anything.
Thank you kindly,
Jason
*A little bit about me personally. At 41 years of age,I used to be into imports and custom cars and as I got older-my tastes shifted from those to preserving 70's American classic full size cars. The monies Ireceive from cars I have sold go right back into finding another to nurture and bring back to life in the most original way possible. I like everything from the Big 3 and even early imports as well but what I do is mainly bring it back to original form(maybe dualexhaust here and there like this Olds has...but that's about as far as I go). If you would like to read an article about me from last year-look up Jason Bagge "The Car Whisperer" and it will give you some insight of why I'm one of many of there trying to save these cars for future generations to enjoy. Thanks again for your interest! :)
