1950 Studebaker Description

For sale in good condition. Always stored in a climate controlled setting. No rust, no bondo, everything works even the original radio. Hop in turn the key and go! Drive anywhere with complete confidence. Serious buyers please. Thanks for taking your time to have a look!

So just before I bought this car about 16 years ago the drive train had totally been gone through.

The engine was rebuilt, a new clutch assembly installed, transmission/overdrive gone through and resealed plus the rear axle had been disassembled looked at and then resealed.

I have put maybe 4000 trouble free miles on the car since then.

The body had also just been resprayed as I got it.

This car has the hill holder feature which may have been an option back in the day.

I'm going to say that the chrome is in very good condition except for the rear bumper for some reason. In the picture of the rear of the car there is a smudge in the middle of the bumper which was dirt. I had to just wipe that off.......But there are very fine marks/scratches on the bumper that were there when I got the car and I really don't understand how they got there. The front bumper is 100% better.

The interior could use a good cleaning to ones own standard. The original seat covers have never been removed since I got the car so things should be pretty nice under there.

I bought the car from a fellow in Orangeville Ontario which is close to my location. He told me that he found it through an ad that a member of the Studebaker Club of America had placed. That's all I recall of the history. Numbers matching.....To the best of myknowledge probably, but I've never bothered to look into that at all.

Regarding importing the car back into the USA. First there are NO duties to be paid to customs as this is a vintage US made vehicle returning to the USA. If you plan on picking up the car personally then you can import the car without the need to pay a broker. If you are going to have a car carrier deliver it to your location then a broker will need to be involved. Fair going rate appears to be $300.00.

Will assist new owner with import paper work.
