1996 Geo Metro Description

Only 87,874 miles and 35 mpg highway/29 city!
This car may not be super fast or very good looking, but it is very reliable and inexpensive to maintain (great mpg, low insurance cost). It will get you where you need to go without you having to spend a lot of money.
My boyfriend bought this car last year when he was moving from Montana to New Jersey (after living in NJ for a few months, he ended up buying a faster car with a turbo). This car drove cross country without any major problems. The previous owner was a young father who played with it as a project car while also using it to commute and take his family from place to place. The owner prior to him was a senior woman who put most of the miles on it. Eastern Montana is a very dry region, so unlike cars in the Mid-Atlantic region, the Geo has very little body rust. Bumper stickers can be removed for you with alcohol if you request it.
The two "Corrected Title" listings on the VIN are from having to order new titles from the MT DMV after the previous titles were lost. The first time the title was sent to the wrong address (got sent to previous MT address after he moved to NJ) and the second one got thrown in the trash by accident when papers were cleaned off of a desk.

Please come to inspect the car and test drive it prior to purchasing. You can take it to a mechanic or have a mechanic come look at it if you like. I want you to be happy with it before you buy. I am very proud of my 100% Seller Rating and want to maintain it. I can do most weekday nights or weekends for test drives if given advance notice.
Condition: There is aesthetic damage from hail. This car comes from eastern Montana where there were frequent hail storms. As a result of a particularly bad hail storm, the car ended up with a salvage title. Please see pics showing hail damage and other aesthetic defects. Interior has cigarette smoke smell. Crack in the windshield, see second to last picture. Windshield is about $260 installed at safelite auto glass. You can check that out on their site. Otherwise, the car drives fine and will get you from point A to point B with good gas mileage. Come test drive it!
Shipping: I highly recommend coming and picking it up in person. However, if you want it shipped, you will have to arrange and pay for your own shipping. I can be around for the pickup if you schedule the shipping in the evening or on a weekend. If you can, please come look at the car and test-drive it before you have it shipped so you can make sure everything is to your liking.
