1949 International Harvester KB-1 Description

The truck is a modified, custom built, 4 wheel drive 1/2 ton pickup.A 1956 Willy's transfer case, Dana front end with 4/88 gears and frame, were married to the 49 IH creating the 4 wheel drive. The DANA IS CURRENTLY NOT MATCHED TO THE FORD 9 INCH 3/10 gear REAR END. It can easily be swapped out to match.The Chevy 350 is a small block, 4 bolt main with Edlebrock manifold, 4bbl carburetor and duel exhaust.The transmission is an automatic Chevy 350 Turbo.The suspension consists of RANCHO shocks, Custom Built Zirc fitted leaf springs and rear overload coil springs.The electrical is a 12 volt system with a 6 volt drop for the wipers. Ithas interior cab and gauge lighting with an LED 3rd brake light, located beneath the rear window.The entire steering system is from a 1970's Oldsmobile with tilt steering, turn and flasher signals and a new steeing wheel.The interior has bucket seats with modern over shoulder restraints.The glove box locks but has no box.The interior is painted the same color as the exterior. However,the headliner and floor have been left unfinished for the buyer to customize to taste. The original bench seats and heater are available.The interior roof and all the fender undersides have been sprayed with Military Grade Anti-Rust Protectant.The tires are brand new FALCON WILDPEAK AT 35X12.50R15LT's.The bed is laquered Poplar Hardwood with stainless steel runners and has a heavy duty rubber remove able cover. The sides and inner tailgate are coated with a sprayed on durable liner.The remove able, diamond plated tool boxes have double locks.The multi-filtered fuel system has an auxiliary electric pump and two tanks, the original 15 gallon tank and an additional 25 gallon rear tank.The body is straight and clean and has only some minor paint issues. Paint is available.The front has frame bolted dual towing receivers and the rear has a frame bolted towing hitch.
