1971 Triumph Spitfire 1971 Triumph Spitfire Convertible Make: Triumph Description

Exceptional 1971 Triumph Spitfire, professionally maintained to a high standard.

Although I am not in a car busines, yet I purchased this gem from the original owne, 91 years old sweet lady as my classic car hobby and can quickly tell this one has been very well sorted and lovingly cared for, most certainly.

Her husband purchased this toy for her birthday and she kept it in her garage andmaintainedit as her weekly driver in a great healthy condition.

She has been owned by the same individual for the past many years. During the past years and through-out her lif, this little toy has been treated to a top tune-ups and services by a local professional, along with aannual inspections .Gorgeous original Red color of this true classic gem in all original condition turnseveryone'shead as I drive . Due to the previous owner's age reversals, there has only been a handful of miles driven . This is a as is sale but still, the works have all been done.

The exterior and interior are both in overall excellent condition. As mentioned earlier, the paint ( original )has very little miles on it as it was always kept in a closed sealed garage and the seats, carpeting, door panels and dashboard, all in first rate form . There is a room for improvement of the floor carpe, should you feel like upgrading the carpets . Not brand new of course, not claiming perfect, but exceptional just the same. There is a small crack on the dashboar, but nothing to obvious or alarming.

The 4 cylinder engine starts up quickly, with just a brief pull of the choke. The 4 speed manual runs through the gears easily, zero issues detected. I'm sure she drips some fluid here or there like my other English vintage pieces, but nothing that stands out beyond the norm for these guys. I just had it fully serviced and no issue at all. - It runs and drives great .

All the bits seem to be spinning as they should, AM/FM radio works fine and the windshield washers (Wipers are operating perfectly). The top opens and closes perfectly .

The undercarriage is in strong condition, the bonnet and boot open and shut as designed, didn't notice any sag in the doors, and the 4 tires have just been fitted.

Your welcome to contact me for a discussion and showing, if desired. If you desire a inspection before purchase, please do so before placing an offer.

We are moving to east coast and it would be a challenge for us to drive 3 car, RV and a large U-haul truck at once . This toy was a great weekend car with top down and my kids loved and really enjoyed it. I hope once I am settled down, I can find another one just like this .

I did my best to have this lovely car ready for your enjoyment. This is a pre-owned car so please look closely at the photos and expect normal deficiencies and any items described herein. You are not paying retail and you are not buying a brand new car. I cannot predict the future if something may break. There are probably a few minor things that may need to be fixed. This stuff happens to the people who purchase brand new cars as well. If you owned a car or house previously then this will not come as a surprise to you. With no questio, this is a very low millage well maintained hard to find classic car that was hardly used . Ye, it may need some minor TL, but nothing mechanical in any shape or form .
