1977 Mg Midget 1500
1977 MG Midget Description
This car was a garage find. It had been sitting for several years in a weather tight residential garage.I bought the car to drive to college but found that its not the best for highway travel, its much better suited for country roads. It runs and drives really well. 58,000( almost 59,000) original miles as evidenced on title. The trans shifts perfectl, the brake light, headlights and turn signals all function as they should. The temp runs exactly at 165 once its warmed up. The brakes stop the car quickly and it does not pull to the left or the right, tracks straight. The paint looks good going down the road. The problem area is the hood, I suspect its been rusted or something because it has some suspicious areas that have bubbles under the paint. I was going to have the hood wrapped in black vinyl to make it look better. The seats are ok but the foams are worn, the carpet is original and is worn in spots. The dash pad and fascia are perfec, no cracks. The top is marginal with stitched areas and some snaps that have pulled off. Floor pans have had minor repairs in the past. Tires were brand new many years ago, they have deep tread but since the car was never driven the tires are now dry rotted. I drive around on them but they should be replaced. Its amazing how many people talk to me when I buy gas, someone always has something to say or a story to tell! If you have other questions let me .
