1984 Peugeot 505 S Sedan Description

I acquired this Peugeot from an estate sale in 2003 or 2004. At that time the car only had 38,000 miles! The owner purchased it new fromDobbs Ford in Memphis. She always kept it garaged and maybe only drove short distances to the grocery or relatives in the Memphis area.I have kept it garaged and looks as good as the day I purchased it. A non smoker car and I used towels on the seats and some rugs to keep the carpet and seats from getting soiled. I have changed the oil every three thousand miles with 10W-40 Castrol and used Peugeot oil filters.Fuel consumption is 20-23 mpg depending on driving with AC. To my knowledge, the car has the original paint. There are scratches, small dings and paint chipping in places (see pictures). Eight thousand miles on rear tires and front tires are at 50%. And has original spare. All glass is good with no stars or cracks in windshield. Tracking is good on the road and no steering shake @60mph. Transmission engagement is positive in forward and reverse. The 1-2 and 2-3 up shifts and 3-2 and 2-1 down shifts are correct according to road speed. Does not have the factory radio. First owner added a cassette radio.

Items that need attention:Left rear turn signal does not work.Sensor light on requiring a sensor replacement.Cruise control does not work.Sometimes brake light comes on- no apparent brake problems.Right rear passenger door is hard to open sometimes.Radio antenna does not work- radio does have reception.
And I have not activated the sun roof. possibly was never used?In all the car runs and drives good!
Inspection is welcome to serious buyers.
