I wasn’t planning to sell this, but am relocating and I forced to part with it. This is a straight, clean Scout originally out of Charlotte, NC. I bought it from a husband and wife who ran a machine shop and ran around in this on the weekends. They passed along a pretty good stack of general repair and maintenance receipts including pictures of an engine rebuild done by Super Scout Specialists in Springfield, Ohio. I’ve owned a few Scouts and this one is very reliable and straight. It runs on 32” tires with about 70% tread and currently on the gold wheels (I do have a set of black if interested). It has the original plaid interior that is in good shape except for some blowout on the drivers seat. I’ve had the fuel system gone through including tank cleaning, fuel pump, filter, and new carb. New Starter. Undercarriage is in good shape. It drives straight – tight steering and no wandering. Has AC, but no compressor belt and I always run with top off in Summer. Heat works. Have never tried the Cruise. Brakes work properly. It is missing some trim on the rear drivers side, but I have the piece. And, the steering wheel plastic center cap has been planning an escape. Even has original headliner in very good shape. Always garaged. Gets lots of thumbs ups. I’ve owned a few Scouts and have test driven a lot more than that. This is one is good shape - clean, straight and reliable with a reasonable reserve. Bid with confidence.
