You are bidding on a Historic, Restored 1963 Studebaker Avanti R1 Personal Luxury Coupe. Studebaker marketed the Avanti as “Americas Only 4 Passenger High-Performance Personal Car.” a 289 CID V-8 with 3 Speed Automatic Transmission. Painted Original Factory Turquoise with all new Interior. This is a beautiful Avanti Restored to new condition, needs nothing, ready to drive and enjoy.

Originally Sold new in Chico, California with 2 previous owners and has always been an Original Black Plate Car. Seller has the original Studebaker “Birth Certificate.” Runs and Drives Excellent. Seller has Original Wheels to go with car.

Body and Frame:

Body is original factory fiberglass. This is a Rust Free Avanti. Frame, Suspension, Hog Trough are all Rust Free like new condition. No Door Dings or Defects. Paint and Body work of the Highest quality repainted Factory Turquoise in last 4 years. Always Garaged.

Interior:

Interior is all new and exact reproduction of original from Fiberglass Headliner to Carpets. Manufactured by a well known Studebaker interior specialist, Southwest Studebaker of Knoxville, Tennessee. Professionally Installed. All Gauges and Dash Accessories work perfectly with the exception of Original Radio. All Lights, Wipers and Signals are in proper working order.

Mechanical:

Professional Performance Built 289 CDI Studebaker Motor. Professionally rebuilt Automatic Transmission. Rebuilt Engine Accessories including Power Brakes, Power Steering, AC Compressor and Components, Carburetor, etc. Everything Mechanical was either rebuilt or replaced.
