1946 Plymouth Special Deluxe 2 door sedan in very good condition. Interior: Upholstery and carpets are flawless. The dashboard and steering wheel are also in excellent condition. The radio only hums and there are no directionals. No rust anywhere. Exterior: Blue, sometimes looks darker than actual color depending on cloud cover. There are a few stone chips on the front. The trunk and right rear fender each have a small area where the paint is defective as shown in the photos. There is also a small ding on the chrome molding on the driver's side running board. No rust anywhere. In my opinion I would give the paint job an 8 1/2 on a scale of 1-10. Engine and Transmission: When I purchased this car 5 years ago, I was told the engine had less than 2,000 miles on a total rebuild (no documentation). It runs very smooth and I have not had any problems. I was told the transmission was rebuilt the same time the engine was rebuilt. The transmission shifts perfectly and the clutch is smooth with no grinding.
Everything is stock except for an electronic ignition. The engine runs very quiet. The car has Coker tires with less than 4,000 miles on them. The steering wanders slightly at 50 mph. The fan belt could be replaced. It is adjusted all the way and still squeals from time to time. There is a small pinhole on the top of the radiator. I have never had to add water and it runs right at 160 degrees even if it sits idling for half an hour.
I have tried to describe everything to the best of my knowledge. This car is sold as is and the buyer is responsible for expenses related to transport. There is a non-refundable $500 down payment due at the close of the auction. No exceptions. The balance is due within 7 days of the close of auction. I will except cash or a wire transfer and will need all money to clear the bank before I release the car or title. Shipping to be arranged by buyer. I will help load.
Car is advertised locally. I will remove from Ebay if sold. Odometer shows 18,225 miles. Actual miles are unknown.
