1978 Pontiac Trans Am Description

Numbers matching 1978 Firebird Trans Am for sale....only because I picked up a super low mileage 1978 Corvette and only have room for one. This TA has been a driver and not a garage queen so it has miles but still plenty of torque (can burn tires through 1st and bark 2nd) with no oil burn noticed and steady pressure. Passes CA smog every year. Previous owner put in a rather nicely done chrome 4 point roll bar which I left in (bar is modular so can be removed if not your style). Stock engine with distributor cap, rotor, wires, plugs, all filters/fluids replaced, carb rebuilt and new air pump. Transmission rebuilt and B&M shift kit installed. Flowmaster style mufflers. Cooling system had new 4 core radiator, water pump, clutch fan, and thermostat installed. Body bushings, A arm bushings, upper ball joints, sway bar bushings, end links, new KYB shocks, and front/rear springs replaced. Differential currently has a 3:08 posi for around town but have the original 2:56 posi too. Brakes had new pads/shoes, calipers, master cylinder, bearings and seals installed. AC compressor, and drier replaced, with gas recharge. New 800 cca battery. Paint shows the years but still shines up except there is one small spot of bubbling that I found by the lower driver's rear wheel well which I haven't had checked by paint shop (see small area at very bottom of photo between door and fender flare). Interior is original materials with exception of aftermarket receiver/equalizer/speakers installed by prior owner which stopped working (not a stereo guy so maybe a connection?) Driver's seat padding and rear speaker shelf replaced and dash has no cracks. Trunk weatherstripping replaced and space saver tire is still there. Door weatherstripping also appears to have been replaced at some point. Windshield washer lines/nozzles were replaced after photos taken. Original radiator, posi unit, master cylinder, and other pieces such as extra black headlight bezels, an Edelbrock Performer manifold, and a car cover will go with it. This is a factory black and gold TA but not a Special Edition although the snowflake wheels and SE graphics were added. Original build sheet was intact (see photo). Last 3 photos show the body, engine, and trans VIN numbers. She gets a lot of attention when out so be prepared for that.
