1987 Pontiac Fiero GT 2.8L V6
1987 Pontiac Fiero GT Description
VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: 1987 Fiero GT 2.8L V6, original survivor sold as-is. Engine starts, runs and pulls smoothly and strongly. Transmission shifts easily with no pop-outs. Pop-up headlights, dash gauges, cruise control, interior lights, AM Radio/cassette player and A/C and heater controls all work. New fuel injectors installed in 2008. Coolant and heater core replaced in 2014/2015. 4 new Ohtsu FP6000 AS tires installed in 2014. All service records and owner's manual included.
INTERIOR: Headliner has some sagging and a 6 to 10-inch separation on passenger side. Power windows are slow. Power locks sometimes require 2nd or 3rd button push to activate. "Ajar" light remains on when doors are closed. Center console gauge pod surround bulging on top edge. Gas gauge may not go down fully to "E". Trip odometer requires several presses and some luck to start counting up again after reset.
MECHANICAL: Clutch pedal occasionally requires pumping. Engine sometime idles a little rough and sometimes lopes between 900 and 1250 RPM. A/C system is non-functional. Blows cold if recharged but will only hold a charge for a month or two without professional repair. Engine temp gauge shows engine running cool.
EXTERIOR: Previous owner stated car had cosmetic body repairs due to Hurricane Andrew in 1992. Receipts indicate R&R of several body panels and glass replacement. Plastic window stripping along top edge of both doors is dried and cracked
VEHICLE MILEAGE: True mileage unknown. Odometer indicates 21,545, however emission inspection record from 9/30/97 shows 156,000. Previous owner stated this was recorded incorrectly by service tech due to lower than average actual mileage. Last prior emission inspection record shows 47,000 miles on 9/2/95, so my assumption is that the correct mileage on 9/30/97 is likely to be about 56,000. I have listed it at 58,000 to include estimated miles driven during my ownership.
