This is one of only a few in this condition left in the world. As TAs become more collectible, this authenticated Macho TA should skyrocket in price. It is a Head Turner and the engine sounds fantastic. Engine was professionally rebuilt at RPM Elite Engines and is a modified stock Pontiac 455 V8. We kept it original with the addition of the very desirable RAM Air Exhaust Manifolds and Crane Cam H-278-2. A true investment collectible vehicle .If you are not familiar with Macho Trans Am I encourage you to Google the Internet and learn about this true performance American GT. Followup on questions:
Yes I have the correct numbered Macho TA Plaque that goes on the console. I am in process of acquiring the steering DKM button,
By all accounts this is the original engine used by Mecham Performance Shop to produce this Macho TA DKM 151 ( See Letter of Authenticity written and signed by Dennis Mecham).I want to be clear. This is not the original 400 Pontiac put in the car. The Engine was upgraded to the Pontiac 455 as part of the Macho TA production. It is a simple swap because they are interchangeable. It is the only authenticated ( with 455 Engine) Macho TA. The Mecham Performance shop was about producing a superior performance vehicle. This is not a stock TA thats the whole point of it. All Machos were sold by Mecham as USED cars because they are Modified from stock. There is a long list of modifications that were done to a stock TA to turn it into a Macho. This Macho TA DKM 151 is part of American GT history.
The engine rebuild was recently done (February 2016). The engine has been properly broken in and has about 400 miles on the rebuild. The Engine is dressed in Pontiac Blue with Smooth Chrome Valve covers (with drippers) just like stock. video of car https://youtu.be/ahVtSI1GREM copy and paste
