1978 MACHO TRANS AM #146 VERY RARE

1978 Pontiac Trans Am Macho Trans Am Description

THE HOLY GRAIL OF TRANS AMS!
This is number 146 of 203 Macho Trans Ams. This may be the most valuable Trans Am because:
1. It is a factory black and gold, not a repaint. Still has original paint and stickers. Alot of guys change the colors to black and gold because the are worth more and more desirable.2. Still has numbers matching engine in excellent working order. Most of the surviving Macho Trans Ams have replacement engines. An original matching number L78 6.6 engine is a big deal and add value for collectors.3. Factory T-tops all original. People may argue that hard tops are better, but T-tops just bring more money.4. Still has original exhaust that was modified by DKM to a dual exhaust setup. Hooker headers with dual cats and no mufflers.5. Still has original transmission and rear end.
This Macho Trans Am runs and drives fine, but really needs a restoration.*factory option WS6 performance package.*engine is very strong, runs smooth and starts easily.*factory DKM rejetted Quadrajet carb*transmission shifts ok, sometimes shifts hard until warmed up. leaks a little.*rear end and posi work*brakes work ok, gets a little sticky after it sits awhile.*steering is good.*tires are old but still functional.*floors pans have rust.*rust in fenders behind wheels, the rest of car seems fine.*interior is original and complete.*factory radio delete, DKM installed Concord stereos.*has been garage kept under my ownership of 5 years.*clear Texas title in my name.*include NOS Chrome Hooker Roll Bar not installed. Very, very hard to find and worth alot of money.*PHS documents and original build sheet from under back seat*DKM documents.
I really love this car and searched a long time to find this particular car. I would love to restore it, but with kids approaching college age, I wont have the time or money for awhile.
