94 Trans am with a built LT1 and a T56!
1994 Pontiac Trans Am Description
This mechanically excellent TA runs, looks and drives great! The body has no rust and just the normal amount of door dings. The interior is average with the normal bucket seat rips and headliner which has been pinned up. All glass is perfect and the sound system is decent.Known issues: The AC is hooked up but the compressor has a slow, external leak so needs to be replaced. Cruise control and steering wheel radio controls weredisconnected by previous owner. Passenger side power window is slower than drivers side but always goes up and down. One of the fog light lenses in broke. Power steering has slow leak butcan't find it.
400+ hp (estimated) LT1 V8 rebuilt approximately 30000 miles ago. This engine was bored out to 355 ci and has a complete Comp Cams 503 cam and valve train. The factory heads were ported and polished. This winter we replaced the plugs, rear main seal and oil pan gasket. Stainless steel exhaust consists of long tube headers into 3" y-pipe then into a 3" bullet muffler then into two 2.5" 2 chamber mufflers to give it a deep, performance sound. No catalytic converters.
T56 6 speed manual transmission was also rebuilt and upgraded at the same time as the engine. This winter we installed a new steel flywheel, Ram HDX clutch kit and throw-out bearing. The existing clutch was replaced due to it being too heavy duty to drive the car in traffic. The car has a Hurst short throw shifter.
A complete BMR suspension kit has been installed! This included tubular upper and lower A arms up front, tubular control arms and relocation brackets in back along with an on car adjustable tubular pan hard bar and on car adjustable tubular torque arm. The car is lowered 1.75 inches on BMR lowering springs and Koni Orange struts and shocks. BMR weld on sub frame connectors, sway bars, strut tower brace and new Moog outer tie rod ends round out the install.
The car rides on C5 Corvette rims that have been plasti dipped black. Tires have plenty of tread left and 10 Factory axles beef up therear end.You cannot build one for what I am starting the bidding at. This car is in very good condition, unfortunately I am selling for medical reasons.
