2002 Porsche Boxster Roadster Description

A Porsche Boxster S that has been well kept and maintained. Recent dealer service and/or upgrades include: maintenance/filters, new brakes with factory parts, i.e., rotors, pads, brake fluid, etc. (approximately 500 miles ago); clutch replacement (approximately 7K miles ago), updated 18” Zehn Hyper 10 spoke alloy wheels (fantastic condition) shod with Pirelli P Zero Rosso high performance tires. When I purchased the car it had an older clear front protective bra which had done its job but was no longer pristine. I had that bra professionally removed and new front clear paint protection bra (including mirrors and side protectors) installed by Columbus Car Audio & Accessories. The car includes the original owner’s manuals, recent service receipts, and TWO factory key fob remotes (one original and a new one purchased from the Porsche dealer). The car also has the clear wind buffer and both roll bar mesh inserts. The original mats were recently replaced (approximately 1K miles) with premium Lloyd logo embossed carpet mats. Also includes a fitted car cover (indoor/outdoor) that is in good condition. The A/C is cold, the engine is strong, everything functions as intended (power remotes, lights, cruise, power top, power spoiler, electric windows, electric mirrors, door locks, power seats, stereo, etc.) and there are no rips, tears, nor significant wear.

This car is in wonderful condition. It has been serviced by the local dealer and is in good shape. It came well equipped from the factory including dual power seats (memory on driver’s side), front & rear fog lights, cruise control,upgraded color (beautiful Basalt black metallic),Porsche Stability Management (PSM) & ABS systems, 6-speed manual transmission, factory audio w/CD player, black leather, etc.Since it is an “S”, it also came equipped with sports suspension, larger vented disc brakes, upgraded 3.2L 6-cylinder producing 250 hp, dual outlet sport exhaust, etc.

I consider the 2002 Porsche to be one of the best first generation Boxsters. The 986 model was well sorted by 2002, had significant improvements, and the Boxster S is a truly remarkable sports car which also functions nicely as a road car or daily driver. I have owned many automobiles over the years and believe the Boxster S is the best sports car I have had. Although there are lesser Boxsters available, this one only has 87K miles, is solid, well maintained, drives as it should, and has plenty of life left...you will not be disappointed. However, our household rule is that I can only have one’ special’ car at a time and I have the itch for something new. The car is not warrantied and is being sold "AS IS & WHERE IS".
