Very nice driving 356B T6 Super Coupe with the smooth shifting original 741/2A gearbox. Strong 912 engine in great running condition with original Zenith carburetors, valves, timing and points recently adjusted. Brakes recently serviced. Black leatherette interior in fair condition. BODY, PAINT and TRIMSince completion of full repaint in the 1990's, the body of this 1962 Porsche 356B Super Coupe has been well cared for and remains in nice driver condition. Battery box, floors and longitudinals were replaced in the past. Non-factory panels were used for the floors and longitudinals, but the repairs are solid. There is some rust in the passenger side lockpost panel near the striker plate (see photo). Also there is a small dent in the right end of the rear bumper.
All body trim is present and in fair to good condition. The glass is in good condition with no obvious chips or cracks. All weatherstripping is present and in fair condition.
Paint is the correct shade of Ruby Red (color code 6202). The original color was Ivory (color code 6204). The current professional repaint was completed in the 1990's and majority of paint remains in nice driver condition with a few small blemishes. There are also a few paint chips at the right end of the rear bumper.
INTERIORThe Black leatherette interior is in fair to good cooihction throughout. A beautiful wood steering wheel is installed. All dash trim is present and in good condition with period correct Blaupunkt radio installed. Correct black rubber floor mat is installed and in good condition. Headliner is in good condition with no rips. Carpet is also in fair condtion with no rips.
ELECTRICALSHeadlights (low and high beams), tail lights, brake lights, turn signals, interior lights, radio and windshield wipers are functional. The starter and generator are functioning fine. Horn is currently not functional, but is present. Gauges are functional
ENGINE and TRANSMISSIONThe engine installed is a strong running 1965 912 engine (number 740318). The engine starts easily, holds a steady idle and accelerates smoothly with very good power. The original and well tuned Zenith NDIX Super carburetors are installed. Original air filter canisters are also installed. An aftermarket exhaust is installed which is fairly loud and will be replaced with a brand new Bursch exhaust prior to delivery to winning bidder.
The original 4 speed 741 transmission (number 56956) is installed and shifts smoothly into every gear with no grinding or unusual noises.
SHOCKS, WHEELS, BRAKES and TIRESSteering is smooth and direct. Wheel alignment is good. Suspension is solid and ride has correct feel.
Original chromed 15" x 4.5" Lemmerz date coded (three dated 5/62, one dated 3/62) wheels are installed. Chrome rims are also listed on the COA as an ordered option. An additional chromed Lemmerz spare wheel is included.
The Tempra Duration radials in correct 165HR15 size have good tread with no cracks.
The brakes are fully functional with the correct finned brake drums. The emergency brake is adjusted correctly and holds tight.
EXTRA PARTS and DOCUMENTATIONThe following extra parts are included: Spare wheel and original jack.
Documentation includes owners manual and Certificate of Authenticity. New California title is being processed and is expected to arrive prior to the end of the auction. If not, car will be stored free of charge until title arrives.

The buyer is responsible for all shipping charges and fees from point of sale to the final destination. In addition, it is the buyer’s responsibility to arrange & coordinate shipping. We are happy to provide a list of transporters.
