1985 Porsche 911 Carrera ROW Sunroof Coupe 3.2L
1985 Porsche 911 Description
For sale is my 1985 Porsche Carrera. VIN WP0ZZZ912FS103287 I have not owned it long appx 4 months and I am selling to make room for another toy. I am reluctantly selling this and I hope it will go to a true enthusiast.
See pictures for COA with options - this is a picture of a copy. I will give the new owner the original. It is all original and numbers matching.
This is a very special Carrera being as it is a ROW version and imported to the states from Germany. It has 231bhp instead of the 207bhp on the North American cars due to the higher compression engine.
The condition is not concourse but rather an awesome driver. Everything needed to drive the car comfortably works. The sunroof, heat, A/C, power windows and mirrors, locks, lighting all work and are things which normally don't in these cars. This example was well cared for. There is no rust that I can see and the paint is in great shape for its age and is believed to be original. I encourage a PPI and can help in any way I can. I strongly encourage the prospective buyers to come and look at the car in person and drive it. I really do not want to sell sight unseen. There is so much to these cars and one should come out and see it in person.
Things to note.Driver's seat heater does not workThere is no radioHeadlight washer look like they need to be replaced.Dash has crack in the middleSun visors are puffy - typicalDrivers seat has wear on one of the bolsters, maybe see in pic
When I brought the car to my local air-cooled shop they said it was the best driver's Carrera they have seen or driven in a long time. Putting this ad together and going through the paperwork I am really hesitant to list it, this is truly a great car.
I am the 3rd owner, (at least I was told I was) and I called the previous owner and spoke to him a little bit about the history. The car is a CA car and then spent the rest of its life in TX. I have the car in PA currently. The official history is not accurately available from carfax or others due to the ROW VIN.
When I got the car I did a few minor repairs.
The oil lines were dented from a floor jack so I had a shop near me replace them.Front Brakes, pads rotors, brake flushOil ChangeInner Axle Book replacedWheel Alignment corner weight and balancedOdometer fixed
Prior to my ownership was the following - I have paperwork.
A Steve Wong chip was installed giving the car more power and throttle response. The stock chip is included as well.
A $4,000 A/C update was performed and it blows very cold.100,000 mile service was performedExhaust was upgraded - Dansk I believe with SSI heat exchangers this bill was $6k.Wevo ultimate shift kit and transmission rebuild this was $4500Fuel lines have been replacedFront Engine cooler replaced.
It is hard to cover all the details in an ebay ad especially when you only get 24 photos. I have this video of the car to help as well as a photobucket page with more pictures of the vitals and maintenance history.

Hopefully the right buyer sees this auction and comes out to look at the car. The car is located near Philadelphia, PA which is where it has been since I purchased it in August.
