1985.5 Porsche 944 2.5L
1985 Porsche 944 Base Description
For Sale is my 1985 (1985.5 which is the updated version) Porsche 944 coupe. 2.5L 4 cyl N/A, Manual. Clean title, clean carfax and recently passed SMOG in hand. Registered until end of March 2017.
Very good condition throughout, very well cared for over it's 31 Year life. Not the typical, beat up 944 you see.
It has 202K miles, drives like half that; I chose this one over several lower mileage, worse condition examples.
It has Genuine Fuchs Porsche wheels in a staggered offset front and rear, electric adjustable seat, electric windows, mirrors, AC & Pioneer Bluetooth / AUX stereo (sync & play music from your phone).
It comes with a folder full of history & paperwork & 3 sets of keys.
Very original car inside and out with no visual / aesthetic modifications.
It's had the following improvements / maintenance recently:
New Stoptech performance grooved discs front and rear (handbrake adjusted at the same time)
New Hawk HPS performance brake pads front and rear
New stainless steel braided brake lines front and rear
ATE Type 200 racing brake fluid (complete brake & clutch system flush and replace)
New Porsche passenger & driver's floor mats.
New "only944" Short shift selector mechanism
New "only944" double sheer shifter rod (both work to tighten up shifter, better feel than when new)
Oils and Filter change
Coolant flush and change.
Power Steering fluid flush and change
Transmission oil flush and change
New rear half-shafts including CV joints and boots
New low profile windscreen wiper blades - Tidies up the front.
Additional maintenance and parts in the past (have all paperwork to prove)
4 x New Falken Ziex 912 tires, in the correct porsche size, still look new.
It has a bursch Performance cat back exhaust.
All 4 fuchs wheels were refurbished in the past, still no curbing or damage (these are genuine OEM wheels that go for a lot of money)
Has had a new clutch a few years ago.
Has had a new clutch slave cylinder
Has had a new clutch master cylinder
Rear wiper has been removed, with a blanking plug fitted to tidy up the rear.
Numerous timing belt / water pump changes in its life.
New tailgate gas struts, trunk seal and latch strikers.
New hood gas struts
The body / paint on this car is exceptional for it's age. No rust, panel gap issues or cracks, major dents or scratches / faded paint. Never been in an accident and looks fantastic after a wash / polish.
Interior is all original and looks great for its age, minor cracks on dash topper and tear to driver's seat base but bolsters on all seats are in great shape and no rips / damage anywhere else. Still has Porsche tool kit and spare tire, with working retractable trunk cover.
This car has been infinitely reliable since i've had it, and since performing the complete brake system and shifter linkage overhaul it drives brilliantly. I currently drive it as my daily and I will be sad to see it go.
