This 914 Porsche is a solid, low mileage, restoration project.
1973 Porsche 914 Description
The second owner stored this car in a semi-heated garage for the past 15 years; and, structurally, the car is solid with only surface rust visible. The floors are solid but the jack plates need replacement as shown in the pictures. The headlights work and actuate properly (the right unit is out), the wipers don't work. The car has a new clutch, fuel pump, injectors, points & condenser, spark plugs & wires, and battery. It starts easily, but the car needs a fuel injection expert since it will not idle. The original color was silver and it has been repainted metallic blue. There are dents and dings in the body, some surface rust, and a small hole in the left rear fender. The body needs a complete strip and repaint.
The interior needs nothing, black leather interior is clean and in very good condition, no tears, carpets are ok. The windows and doors function properly and are defect free, but there are two chips in the windshield. There are five alloy wheels that have been polished and have new tires mounted, two original Stainless Steel mirrors, two fiberglas rocker panels, front rubber bumper cap, and an aux. console panel w/ oil pressure, cylinder head temp, and volts that go with the car.
With minor surface rust & body repair, a full body repaint and engine tune up by a fuel injection expert, this car will be a first class example of Porsche's only mid engine vehicle.
