History

Sold new in Palm Springs, it was first owned in Newport Beach, CA, where it was serviced by the Porsche dealer there, including the 15k and 30k services (I have these early records) until it was traded in at 37k miles. As the second owner, I bought the car in November of 2004 while it was still under warranty and have garaged it at my Malibu home ever since. I’m a four decades+ serial 911 owner/enthusiast/mechanical engineer who has taken meticulous care of this car and am only selling due to my health. The car has had just 2 owners although when faced imminent estate matters a few years ago I put it in my daughter’s name at my same address so a Carfax may show 3 owners (I can document this).

New Factory Engine Module

In September 2005 at 41k miles, the dealer installed a complete new engine module under warranty (part number 996-100-971-X) at a cost of $25k due to an oil leak traced to a flaw in the crankcase. The -971 is the final variant of this fantastic motor and includes a stronger crankcase among other improvements. The engine “module” was a new unit, not a factory refurb and it came with literally every accessory except the airbox, muffler and a/c compressor…….everything was all new.

Condition

One mature enthusiast owner/driver for the past 12 years. No smoking, kids or pets allowed and it shows. Always garaged and meticulously maintained…….this has been my 2nd or 3rd car and has been an occasional driver (or less as my health has declined). It is entirely original and the paint is pristine and like new. The front bumper was repainted due to road debris damage, but it’s undistinguishable from the rest……it was perfectly done. It’s always had window tint to protect the interior and a clear bra up front including the side mirrors and the head lights which are still nice and clear (see photo). Virtually no dings, chips, scratches or dents. And the interior is exceptional as well, carpets fresh, plasic all very good etc. No scratches, tears or unusually wear on the leather. The 4 wheels are undamaged. This car is tight and solid. It runs very strong, has no leaks whatsoever. It shifts like new and the clutch and brakes feel just like they should.

Full disclosure (see photo’s of these flaws):

·Small star (1/2” max diameter) in the windshield about 2” from the Porsche/Sekurit emblem in the lower left. It is well out of view and has been stable for several years.

·Both seat back shells’ have a small crack/blemish in the paint due to flexing (see picture where I point it out)- they could be either touched up or repainted, I can handle either but wanted to show it as it is.

Maintenance within the last few thousand miles or less (receipts available)

4 Michelin Pilot Sport 2’s

Bilstein Shocks, Upper Shock Mounts, Drop Links and Anti Roll bar bushings – all 4 corners (OEShocks)

Wheel Bearings on all four corners (they get a little noisy after a while)

Front Brake Rotors and Pads, Rear Pads (since it was apart for suspension work)

4 Wheel Alignment

Bosch Gel Battery – July ‘15

O2 Sensors and Mass Air Flow Sensor (helps engine run smooth)

The maintenance regimen has been to change all fluids at ½ of the factory schedule or no more than 2 years (except for trans and front diff lubes, changed based on miles not time) whichever comes first. Additionally all filters and spark plugs per the factory schedule or more frequently if convenient. All parts are used factory Porsche, except for the Battery and the Bilstein Shocks.

PPI's welcome and encouraged.........the car needsno excuses.

Included:

The car comes with both keys, all of the books and original literature as well as a factory car cove and a factory workshop manual.

If you are looking for a really nice TT in classic Porsche colors, with all of the right options then take a good look at this one, it’s in fantastic condition and needs nothing. Clear CA title in hand, tags good through December.
