I am confident that you know what you're looking at here, and I commend you on yourimpeccabletaste, and your means to considerowning one of the best cars man ever built.
I am a long time Porsche enthusiast,(specifically air cooled)having had one in my family, many on my walls as aboy, and a few excellent examples I've been lucky enough to call my own. If I could, I would keep them all but time and money don't often permit more than a small collection, and maybe a project for the garage :).. It is an entirely well accepted opinion that in the world of Porsche there stands high above the rest the 911, among which is the air-cooled generation of cars, and of which group is undoubtedly led by the final incarnation of the true to its roots, Porsche 993.
Exterior:
This car is an extremely well cared for, well documented, 99% original 911 993 in the absolutelystunning factory Arena RedMetallicpaint. Not your common black, white, silver but Arena Red. The best color offered in my opinion for the 993, released with thelaunch of this model 911 in 1993 as Porsche's flagship color in its excitement about the new 993 Turbo. It does not get more classy than the deep Merlot feel of the paint on this car, which like wine only seems to get better with time. The paint on this 911 is as mentioned all original andpracticallyflawless.
Interior:
Furthermore, as most knowPorsche offers the customer an exclusive opportunity to chose themselves features of aspeciallyordered interior. (for better or for worse! see some ofthe entirely white leather cars from the wonderful cocaine 90's!) That said this was one of those 'above and beyond' cars from the start, and the original owner had someimpeccabletaste as the pictures show. This is 100% from the factory interior, in showroom condition all the way through. Not a wrinkle, not a crack, or a blemish to distract you from the experience. The 3 incredibly responsible owners before you (2 doctors and the owner of a tech business) even had the sense to keep the original head unit which works perfectly and sounds great. Ichallengeanyone reading this to find me a better looking factory equipped interior in a 993, especiallyaccompaniedby the Arena Red Metallic. Good luck.
Performance:
Beyond this models impressive statistical score card, this car is largely unaltered from the true factory state out back, as it is everywhere else. The car over the road is absolutely intoxicating. If you have never been behind the wheel of a 3.6L Air-cooled Porsche, your life will literally change. If you have, thisparticularcar will meet or exceed all yourexpectations. No other Porsche 911 sounds quite as impressive as the 993, and this car is tuned and maintained to perfect order. Whenever buying a car like this, especially with any amount of years on it a servicehistoryis important and this one has a healthy listof records dating its life, upwards of 20K noting typical and preventative above and beyondmaintenance. The carhas a spotlesscar-faxhistory, never blemished title, and has never needed more than a responsible owner who enjoys to drive their car which it has. There's not much to say beyond the fact that this 911 is exactly as Porsche engineers intended it. The ONLY thing the car could benefit from would be a set of new tires. The car was running different rims and tires that have since been removed to re install the originals, and the rubber on the twists could be replaced. Aside from that there is literally not a single thing this car needs. The rims themselves were born with the car and are still in perfect shape. A recent professional Porsche Service PPI report can be provided, as well as your own encouraged if you would like further documentation of its excellent shape.

Also over $20K in work receipts for maintenance. This car has been incredibly well documented and taken care of from birth. See just some of the slips here:993 history

At the end of the day, you may be able to find another 993 for less than $50K. Not entirely easily done, but possible. 6 speed, hard top, original color, unmolested,... much less likely. Most of them are well north of 60 these days and climbing faster then a safe stock. But when you spend $50K on a P-car of this caliber you often should be expecting to put a fair amount of money into it to bring it up to date on its maintenance, with hopes its not missed any check ups to date. The most recent check up on this very car was over $13,000 at a well known top shelf Porsche shop, all documented as included in the sale. The difference is, when you buy this car, you don't have to worry about a thing for quite some time. Most cars on here are being sold by there owners who just simply don't want to sink that inevitable money into it, and so it finds itself on the top of the new owners 'to do list'. Not this car. Get in, drive anywhere, and enjoy this car from the moment you acquire it with no pending shop time on the horizon.

Shipping if neccessary to be coordinated by the new owner, pick up within 3 weeks ofauctionclose.
As I mentioned, many of you may know already, but here is some published info on the 993 as taken fromWikipedia, linking variousprominentindustry sources.
"The identifier '993' is the company's internal name for the version of the Porsche 911 model manufactured and sold between late 1993 and early 1998 (model years 1995-1998 in the United States), replacing the 964. Its discontinuation marked the end of air-cooledPorsches, with the 993 being notjust the last air-cooled 911, but also the last of the hand built 911s. The 993 generation of the 911 is often referred to as the best and most desirable of the 911 series, not only because of its beauty, but also because its performance is very good, even by modern standards, and the 993 was "the last complete 'modern classic'"; "the 993 was and forever will be that last fresh breath of air that Porsche gave the world; elegance and muscle all in one package." The book "Porsche 993 - Essential Companion" refers to the 993 as the "King of Porsche," and it is generally acknowledged as "The purists' Holy Grail."
On Aug-18-16 at 08:42:29 PDT, seller added the following information:*** Aggressive price drop as I need to sell sooner then the auction if possible. I have another opportunity that I need to act on yesterday. The new price reflects that for a quick sale. Get her before she's gone. Payment expected as defined in the auction! Good luck!
